I swear Yoshi's Island is harder, can't remember. I've finished DKC 1 and 2 multiple times and i suppose it's like everything, the more you play the better you get and the easier it gets. As a kid that first minecart level on DKC1 got me everytime with that upwards jump, then someone told me of the sneaky jump into the hole at the start trick I did go back and do it eventually though, gotta love those mine cart levels <3 I can play through both 1 and 2 fairly easily now but certain levels like the lost world volcano level in 2 still kill me a bit. But yeah, can't remember the snes Yoshi's Island as I haven't played it recently, but i played through Yoshi's Island DS and i got well and truly stuck, bloody hard game that, deceivingly hard!

I'm pretty sure it'll be localised but it's who gets it. Too many times it ends up that the Americans get RPGs when we don't, Europe gets left out We've missed out so much in the past, chrono trigger, final fantasy...although credit where it's due, a lot of what we missed are now being re-released on the DS or the virtual console.

This And i haven't played Shadow of Colossus yet, although it is on my 'to get' list. I hear it's good though

Woah! Quite a response there :p It's still a good game, i'm not saying that it isn't...but come on, 1 and 2 are much, much better games and it was a disappointment in comparison. Well for me at least. I can't have been the only one who put this game in for the first time highly excited, started playing the first level and uttered 'wtf' as i saw what they had done to the enemy sprites Plus the ending was also a disappointment, i don't want photos i want my enemies moving across the screen and diddy kicking donkey kong up the arse! Just to verify: Disappointing compared to Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2, but still a good game. Phew!

In Japan at least I really hope they localise this as if they do i'll definately be getting it!

Donkey Kong Country 3....it wouldn't have been a bad game on it's own, but compared to the awesomeness of DKC and my personal favourite DKC2 it was seriously lacking. The hit detection seemed a bit..off in the bosses and the enemy sprites looked terrible! It was also the first one where i dreaded the boss fights as they were terrible, (with the exception of the snowman!) The overworld map was a neat new idea though, i guess that's what they spent their time focusing on. |:

I know people moan about SMB2 being a mario version of Doki Doki Panic, but is it really classed as the black sheep of the family? I say this because Super Mario Sunshine is that to me, as it isn't the pure platform goodness of the other games in the series and is usually ranked lower than SMB2, or disliked more.

My word, this is so going to be my favourite Wii title. I played DKC1 and 2 to death so i'll definately be getting this!

Mastur.......ing your Halo Reach multiplayer skills?

Very interesting read that and i like how fair he is about reviewing each game. It's a shame he had to start out on the N64 though, i'm only a couple of years older and i was playing duck hunt and super mario bros 3 when i was only a few years old and the snes was the first system i really got into. I was lucky though i guess. I'll probably continue to follow this blog now and see how it gets on with other games.

It's still possible though, as the DS Lite is still being sold even after the DSi and DSi XL were released. Maybe they just want to increase the longetivity of the DSi XL? Then again they tried that with the Gameboy by releasing the Gameboy Micro and it just got completely overshadowed by the DS, so who knows.

Could selling used video games become illegal!?
Arnieboy replied to LegoMan1031's topic in General Chit Chat
This isn't going to happen...or at least i hope not. It could bugger up retro collectors, like myself, who buy games used as they aren't actually on sale new anymore. And even if it is just new games they decided to do this to, if you see a game for 45 quid and then a practically new used copy for 20 quid, what are you honestly going to go for? But then again this isn't happening. -
One of the best bands of this generation, easily.

Retro consoles worth checking out?
Arnieboy replied to Pookiablo's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Got to mention the SNES if your talking retro, so many good games! And as mentioned the NES and the Megadrive are also great systems with great games. But if you want to look more recently, why not try a Sega Dreamcast? I recently got one and there's some really good games on it, plus it's stupidly cheap to collect for, (there's several copies of Jet Set Radio on ebay, sealed, for a fiver). -
^ There was one of those limited edition Majora's Mask sets on ebay a week or so ago. The seller had a 'buy it now' for the small fee of £1,800. I doubt he sold it.

At the moment i'm collecting NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Game Boy, PS1 and PS2 games. When i get far enough into these collections i also plan to get into Sega a bit too. Why? Something to keep me amused since i broke up with the ex, and it's something i've always been interested in i guess. I suppose Super Smash Bros Melee really was the game that made me want to find all of these old games after looking at all of the trophies on there. Also it's a blast from the past, my dear mother had a bad habit of 'you've got a new console let's sell the old one,' and i had no choice in the matter It also looks damn nice having a bookcase full of gaming history and a tv stand with more than just a Wii and a PS3/Xbox360 standing on it. Besides, SNES games are awsome, best console ever hands down.

A Scoop of ice cream. It's a tad hard to apply the 5 second rule to ice cream.

Although i've been registered for 5 years i've never really posted much but I have been lurking the forums for some time, so time to introduce myself i guess :x - My name is Dan - I'm 20 years old - I live in Chatteris a little town in Cambridgeshire - My interests/hobbies are games and music mainly - My favourite type of music is rock, mainly Classic and Prog rock (or bald, old mans music apparently :P) - My favourite games are probably the first 2 Donkey Kong Country games and Super Smash Bros Melee - I originally joined the forums 5 years ago to post in a poll about video games, apparently i had to add my favourites - I work as a scientific assistant in a lab, which sounds fancy but it really isn't - I'm really quite a shy person, half the reason i haven't posted much on the N-E forums - Yes i do like Garfield, the avatar i have was actually made by someone i met on another forum So hello everyone

N-Europe London Meet Sat July 24th 2010

I do apologise, i do tend to lurk a lot without posting much. Long time member - long time lurker, i just never know what to say half the time...many a time have i written out a post only to delete it as it doesn't seem to fit in with the epic conversations had at N-E, oh well i've been caught red handed Sound like a really good time from what I am reading This is going to sound really boring but i take it the grass has recovered from when we had that massive heatwave? I saw a birdseye photo of Hyde Park completely brown! *Dashes back into the shadows* -
Haven't posted in a while but i'll give my views on FF13 as i'm currently at chapter 12, about 33 hours in. Pros: - Loving the characters, especially Szach he's awesome, (Vanille not so much...) - Graphics and cutscenes are amazing obviously, loving the story in this one. - New battle system is exciting, though one bad factor which i will mention - It's nice knowing clearly where to go all the time - All characters get crystal points after a battle, even those your not using - Auto-healed after every battle, if you die you restart in front of the monster you died at and there's plenty of save points, (might seem too easy but it's defnately fair in this installment) Cons: - I don't have a problem with linear corridors, but some are just too long and too samey, only some though - Controlling only one member, the downfall being if you die you all die...what? The biggest flaw with the system in my opinion - The Doom spell, simply put when you encounter it there's no way to dodge it and if the enemy isn't dead your screwed - Bosses Hit Points are stupidly high and they can hit stupidly hard But yeah it's good, definately worth a play, just be prepared to die a LOT.

Got to pick Cadbury, in my opinion it tastes much better. Plus if galaxy heats up in anyway afterwards it tastes like plastic. And besides they also have better adverts, that gorilla playing to Phil Collins on the drums ;D

Delay in 2p rise in fuel til autumn...how about the lot they just added recently. It's more like, 'we've delayed the 2p we were going to add on top of the 2p rise we already just put on.' Not sure about everywhere else but where i live the stations sell petrol at 108.9...ridiculous.
