BGS Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 http://www.mission-in-snowdriftland.com/ Woo! The Nintendo Europe advent calander for this year! There's a new platform level to complete every day. Looks pretty interesting actually... Sorry if this has been mentioned before.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Awesome, but a bit early perhaps?
Marshmellow Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Looks Cool! Too bad it comes out in a week and a half...
Cube Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Is this real? Theres occasionally a banner on NoE's website.
Kurtle Squad Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 It's the 1st day of this now!!! You get MP3s, Desktop icons and the lark for completing levels (I don't know if you get extra rewards for getting all the snowflakes and such).
antster1983 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I've had a play of the first level, and it's quite a fun little platformer. For completing each level you get some desktop wallpapers and icons, and an MP3 to use as a ringtone. All are related to a certain game each day, which I'll list below. 01: Yoshi's Island DS 02: Metroid Prime Hunters 03: Super Princess Peach 04: 42 All Time Classics 05: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team 06: Sudoku Master 07: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 08: Wii (of course ) 09: Trauma Center: Under the Knife 10: Animal Crossing: Wild World 11: Another Code: Two Memories 12: Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training 13: Nintendo DS Lite Pink Edition 14: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 15: Wii Sports 16: English Training (fur die nein-English sprachens) 17: New Super Mario Bros. 18: Nintendo DS Browser 19: Tetris DS 20: Wii Play 21: Nintendogs: Dalmatian & Friends 22: Big Brain Academy 23: Mario Kart DS 24: WarioWare: Smooth Moves For getting all 576 stars: Mission in Snowdriftland wallpapers, icons and the entire soundtrack! For beating the boss and watching the end credits: Wii-present wallpaper and some icons that didn't fit with the others
Nintenchris Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 It wont even let me play the first level It's still giving me that little pop up that says.... "watch intro again"
Cube Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 It wont even let me play the first level It's still giving me that little pop up that says.... "watch intro again" Same here.. edit...but works in IE.
Guest Jordan Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I got all 24 snowflakes, i can confirm they do nothing.
Cube Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I got all 24 snowflakes, i can confirm they do nothing. Yea, but you do get a shiny snowflake on the "overview" My guess is you get something for getting all of them on all levels. (or each "section")
Guest Jordan Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Hmmm... I see. Well, i'll keep trying to get them all each day. Shouldn't be too difficult... but i hate jump being on the up directional key >_>
antster1983 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Yea, but you do get a shiny snowflake on the "overview" My guess is you get something for getting all of them on all levels. (or each "section") Yeah... just some downloads for the PC.
Cube Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Yeah... just some downloads for the PC. Probably....but it's still fun to get them all...
RedShell Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 This thing's harder than NSMB! Love the old school C64 style music, I'll probably play it up until the 8th at least.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Fricking water. But very fun game. And the music is indeed very awesome.
Gentleben Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 It does mention that if you collect ALL the snowflakes you get a special Christmas bonus of some sort.
gj15987 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 w00t. I got all 24 on the first level too. It was quite hard for a first level
AshMat Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 WOW AWESOME FUN, THIS IS BETTER THAN WII! Or not, something to look forward to each day though.
Cube Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Second level (Metroid Prime Hunters) is great too. This is the best advent calender ever.
Gentleben Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Day 2: Metroid Prime Hunters Today's level features lots more coloured penguins to destroy. Also a new larger yellow coloured penguin is thrown into the mix as well, but can still easily be killed via jumping on it's head. There's lots of small platforms to jump across to reach some of the higher platforms where the snowflakes are hidden, and don't forget to check down by the water as well for some other snowflakes tucked away. Good luck Snowdrift fans!
Cube Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Also a new larger yellow coloured penguin is thrown into the mix as well Mother Penguin can be angered, too.
Pestneb Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 this is pretty cool and the 24 snowflakes = big prize once you have completed all 24 levels with 24 flakes. so 376 flakes = surprise. works fine for me on firefox and ie...
