The best and worst of the internet.

Random idea, basically you post something you love (best) and something you hate (worst). It doesnt have to be a website, you might love FPS Doug, or World Of Warcraft, or hate the rampant fanboyism everywhere, let us know.

You can justify your choices if you wish, but dont have to.

Ill kick it off:

Best: Google

Worst Tubgirl

Best: PureTnA - Because thats one play where you get downloads that are always worth waiting for.

Worst: Slow ADSL - Theres nothing worse then dashing to the computer knowing you need to do something and the blasted thing isnt really as nippy as you would have liked.

EDIT - Btw, awesome thread idea Ice.

Hmmmm quite hard to pick what i hate theirs quite a bit.

Love: msn to chat to my friends, bit torrent (legit stuff only like subbed animes we havent got here), those little jokes websites with tons of random crap like ebaums world and stuff

hate: msn when noones online, and the uselessness of the net sometimes i feel theirs so much there but still don't have anything to do

hard to pick one from each category....but if i had to i'd pick msn for both.

Seriously though? The best thing about the Internet is clearly the vast amount of abilities it bestows upon a user. Using the Internet, and of course factoring in number of other devices like games consoles, one can shoot their friends in the face, find pictures of a man having sex with a goat, make an endless amount of money, and find unparalleled humour at every stop, chat and make friends with people as gay as they are and finally use it to form chains across the entire world. The actual Internet itself is the best thing about the Internet.

It's opened up so many job opportunities, allowed people to fulfill their ambitions with virtually no financial outlay. Did I mention that online you can be a movie critic, a top comic artist? A celebrity in the case of certain individuals. Yes, Internet I salute you.

Worst thing? I'm not one to stand against piracy as many of you will know. The vast amount of backdoor child porn that circulates online is definately the worst thing. As with my point about the Internet itself being the best thing about the Internet, the Internet itself in this respect is also it's own worst enemy. People speak with greater negativity of the Internet than praise it as with most things in life, but it is widely accepted that in the modern world the world wide web is the most comprehensive and beautiful thing to happen to mankind since Gremlins.

Good outweighs bad, but bad is more focussed on than good. We've all illegally downloaded stuff before, and we've all abused this "privilage" technology and mankind itself have blessed us with, but pedophilia is intolerable and inhuman. These sexual deviants have established areas of the Internet as their bases, and therefore we need to locate these bases and take them out. They're like the online equivalent of terrorists.

Worst: MPAA/RIAA/all the other wankers.

I've just scoped out their website, and be warned - it will bring your blood to boiling point. Stay well clear.

Old as the Barbary Coast, New as the Internet - No black flags with skull and crossbones, no cutlasses, cannons, or daggers identify today’s pirates. You can’t see them coming; there’s no warning shot across your bow. Yet rest assured the pirates are out there because today there is plenty of gold (and platinum and diamonds) to be had. Today’s pirates operate not on the high seas but on the Internet, in illegal CD factories, distribution centers, and on the street.
