my eb (GAME) said they had 10 and they sold out in moments and people were lined up at one in the morning for it.

i read however that all ebs in north america were going to get 30 each the person on the phone said i should phone another time to see if they had more stock.

i'm just going to go to my local zellers (canadian store) and hope they have some left after i run to the electronics department. (i'll get there at lanch time but...)

Oh and there's only 1 Game store in Luton now, the one that used to be EB is now a Costa Coffee. And the one in Debenhams is gone.

The Debenhams one moved to the back of Debenhams near the escalators that lead to the entrance near Barclays Bank. Or it was the last time I checked.

or store managers just wont care? lol

Bingo. They are probably gamers if they do go, but not the kind that hang around on the internet.

They have lives/families. Plus it would be of little to no benefit to themselves.

I hope that isn't right, no Excite Truck at launch?

We have to wait till Feb for it i believe.

No source and nothings been said, but if Wario is out in Jan, Excitetruck will be feb won't it?

You guys have only just picked up that Excite Truck's probably not gonna be at launch?? :wtf::laughing:

Yeah, it's been known for quite a time. It's a shame, but I can't be overloaded with so many games. In fact, Zelda alone is more than any launch ever did in terms of quality.

Yeah, its very small now, and more crappy than it was before.

Probably because it used to make half as much as the other two stores.

Unfortunatly most people I knew in managment at Game have left now, but I'm sure the info given today will get online soon.

First party titles got to be spaced out y'know?

Gamers can't afford many games all at once.. and they have notoriously short attention spans.

By spacing them out it's possible for Nintendo to have the latest greatest game, every month for the next 6 months.

Launching them all on day one would detract from the quality.. and long term sales too.

Where as Ubisoft is blitzing the launch because they know Nintendo consoles aren't an easy market.. it's Zelda vs. Everyone else..

I don't mind waiting for excite truck, it'll be a damn sight better than whatever that 4x4 thing is about.

I agree with you on that. But if thats true wtf have Japan got in mind? They are launching, Zelda, Play, Sports, Excite Truck?, Smooth Moves and pokemon. :indeed:

On PlayStation or XBOX yes.. but Nintendo has a hardcore fanbase of Zelda and Mario fans who will primarily buy a console for their favourite heroes.

It's not as easy.. which was my point as to why they are blitzing it.

They had some PR guy saying they want to becoming 'in' with the Nintendo crowd and alienate EA. Ubisoft obviously wants to make money but it's not going to be easy for them.

The youth of Japan have lots of money.. because of housing prices are beyond the reach of the youth today they all rent.

Meaning they have lots of money to blow on fashion and gadgets.

This is why the PS3 will have no problem in Japan, I guess Nintendo Japan's logic is- most of them who can afford it will buy them.

Assuming the second one of those two scans (from the leaflet issued to store managers) is correct then I'd say it suggests Wario Ware Smooth Moves will be out by Christmas, wouldn't you? Or maybe just a demo with the system. :hmm:
