SimonM7 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 http://www.yesasia.com has classic controllers really cheap if people want some. I ordered two myself after realising Super Probotector expects me to conduct my shooting and jumping in two different regions of the cube pad.

The Cube setup for Donkey Kong Country is horrible. Its like they are forcing you to buy the Classic.
KKOB Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 bought SMBs and F-Zero now my internet is working-ooooo News channel is funny!

EDIT: Although a quick look shows they aren't that much cheaper.

They're a whole 74p cheaper than Game, thats not taking postage into account either! I just ordered one from Game and used £10 of my reward points so it only cost me £4.99 - not bad me thinks.
Tellyn Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 http://www.hmv.co.uk Although they are out of stock, they are still cheapest at 11.99. I ordered mine a month ago, just waiting for more stock. Also, I've just noticed the Sega Mega Drive Collection for the PS2 in Europe. Here is a full list of games: Alex Kidd - The Enchanted Castle Altered Beast Bonanza Bros. Columns Comix Zone Decap Attack Ecco the Dolphin Ecco: The Tides of Time Ecco Jr. Eternal Champions Flicky Gain Ground Golden Axe Golden Axe II Golden Axe III Phantasy Star II Phantasy Star III Phantasy Star IV Ristar Shadow Dancer: Secret of Shinobi Shinobi III Sonic The Hedgehog Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Super Thunderblade Sword of Vermillion Tac/Scan (PS2-only unlockable) Vectorman Vectorman 2 Virtua Fighter 2 Zaxxon (PS2-only unlockable) Zektor (PS2-only unlockable) It's sensible to guess that most if not all of these will be coming to the Virtual Console, as they have already been rated and a fair few are already out.
SimonM7 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Oh yeah, you're quite right. Not taking postage into account (which would be applied if I ordered off your brit stores) it's only marginally cheaper. So never mind then. I save seven quid personally, and that's on one pad without shipping costs.
Eenuh Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Okay people, if you were to suggest one game to buy that's out on the VC right now, which one would it be? Apart from Mario 64 and MK 64, since I have those already on my N64.

Eenuh Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Err...Super Probector is quite amazing. Either Super Mario World or LTTP should be out Friday. I have LttP on the GBA already though and used to have SMW on the SNES... What kinda game is Super Probector? A shooter? D:

Eenuh Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Yeah, looks like totally -not- my kind of game. Darn. X3 This is gonna be hard to find something...

Thats a hell of a collection, is it on any other systems besides PS2?
flameboy Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Thats a hell of a collection, is it on any other systems besides PS2? PSP...it is one hell of a collection and all for just £19.99, I'm surprised it's so vast, they could easily have split it in half and released 2 of them spaced out and people would still have bought it.
Myke Greywolf Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Nope, not yet. Nintendo Europe must know of the information leaks. Birdie's telling me that they're getting awfully secretive regarding VC releases. I'll ask him again this afternoon.
welsh_gamer Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Shame. But a games release date isnt highly confidential information if it's being leaked the day before its official release, so whats with all the secrecy I dunno. They might as well have some kind of release list to p[revent thi sif they want. Would b easier.

Its the same problem with the XBLA system aswell as they never tell you what games are coming when. I hope its Zelda or Mario World this week as my Wii has been sitting gathering dust since I finished Mazza Kart.
Tellyn Posted February 7, 2007 Author Posted February 7, 2007 Thats a hell of a collection, is it on any other systems besides PS2? PSP, but there are some games that are only unlockable on the PS2.
Dante Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Anyone got Street Fighter Anniversary Collection? Is it any good to get?
welsh_gamer Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Wikipedia states a game called Vigilante is due out for the VC tommorow for us. Some kind of side-scrolling beat-em up it seems.
Dyson Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 SMW, please. Though us that bought SMB are a bit screwed over.
ipaul Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Is Mario Kart 64 worth the £7? Multiplayer any good? EDIT - Bought it anyways, hope its as good as i remeber =)
Myke Greywolf Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 OK, then! Little birdie managed to get me some information regarding this week's releases, but he's telling me that it is a little shaky and shouldn't be taken as fact yet. If this works out, he'll probably be able to be more confident for next week's anouncements. So, without further ado, here are little birdie's tips for this week's european VC releases: - Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link (NES) - Super Mario World (SNES) - R-Type III (SNES) - Vigilante (Turbografx) Sorry, no LttP yet... but at least there's a Zelda game!

The shaky bit had better be that he simply got the wrong Zelda game! I need A Link To The Past now! Although I suppose if Super Mario World is correct then we wont be getting both...
