S.C.G Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I ordered from Play but they haven't e-mailed me my code yet just the e-mail to say when it was posted... what gives? I've seen other people in this thread who ordered from Play have theirs, hours ago too >> they had better send it lol I pretty much pre-ordered as soon as it became available.
Illusionary Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 They did, though they've updated the description on their website not to include the codes any longer. Unless anyone has any more info, I guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow - N&B should be here by then, at least!
Jimbob Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Everyone who ordered on sites that had mention of the download code should have the code by tomorrow or Saturday at the latest when Nuts and Bolts arrives. Some people may of been fortunate like myself to receive the code before the game. So, unless a miracle occurs i don't think anyone who hasn't got the free code will be able to get this until it is released publicly at the end of the month.
Nintenchris Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 So.... after playing it all night im still enjoying playing this game! Im not sure if its the collecting tonnes of different things, building vehicles for missions or something else... but something keeps me coming back for more. Thing is theres very little variety in the missions.. alot of escort, racing and collecting missions. Oh and one realy bad thing.. some of the levels that ive played where realy badly designed... well atleast one.
Cube Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I went into GameStation (pre-ordering in stores is cheaper for me) to pick this up. They got the delivery today, but they're not allowed to open it until x amount of staff are in the store. Very annoying. Hopefully I can get it later.

Lols personally I think they are bullshitting you... they could easilly open it no matter if there was some sort of daft rule against it, the sky won't fall down or anything >> anyway I hope you manage to get your copy today Cube.
Illusionary Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Aif there's anyone else waiting for a code from Zavvi, read this: http://zavvi.metafaq.com/help/delivery/banjo_kazooie Apparently, they'll be sent out within 48 hours - so we just have to wait a while...
Hero-of-Time Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Im loving this! I have spent a good 2 hours just bombing around Showdown Town collecting Notes, Jinjos and new parts. I think I have only done a few missions in Nutty Acres and I have unlocked the next world but I havent set foot in the place yet.
Jimbob Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Game arrived today, shall be playing it later on.
Cube Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I got this but unfortunately no XBLA code. I think I'll stop using GameStation now. Looks like I'll have to get it when it's out fully. Anyway, like H-o-T, I've mainly been doing Showdown Town. I've done the first three acts of Nutty Acres. I'm going to keep my level exploration down to a slightly modified trolley as much as possible (faster, with springs when I get them). Makes exploring the levels feel like you are actually exploring them. The main flaw of the levels is that it's just too temping to get a small helicopter. Anyway, I've gotten loads of cool parts (going to give them a whirl soon) and found 7 Jiggies in Showdown (1 of them from TT). Unlocked a couple of acts from the next two levels. I love this game, I can see it lasting me a very long time.
Serebii Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Am actually enjoying this...although the trolleys steer like...well...trolleys which is annoying :p Have turned the trolley into an awesome flying trolley :p
Sheikah Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Hmm, I have the game still sealed and kept the preorder because I really wanted BK. I'm not sure whether to just take it to a local game store and get the refund (the website says you can for online stuff). The one thing that is annoying me is that I wanted to the Stop n' Swap stuff.
Hero-of-Time Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Have turned the trolley into an awesome flying trolley :p I suped mine up into a fast as hell machine. All the carrying missions are easily beaten now I thought the intro to the game was hilarious. I loled twice, once when LOG made you have a race with Grunty to see who could collect the most stuff and the other was where Mario got a mention
Jimbob Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Got a medium engine on my trolley. Just now wonderin why i can't use this in Showdown Town and why i have to use basic trolley there.
Cube Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Got a medium engine on my trolley. Just now wonderin why i can't use this in Showdown Town and why i have to use basic trolley there. You can only have the upgrades that LOG gives you while in showdown time.

That Guy Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I suped mine up into a fast as hell machine. All the carrying missions are easily beaten now I thought the intro to the game was hilarious. I loled twice, once when LOG made you have a race with Grunty to see who could collect the most stuff and the other was where Mario got a mention I've Loled a few times at the game so far. I'm glad I once again went against what I thought of a demo and went ahead and got it anyway, I'm really enjoying it. The vehicle stuff is really fun actually, I could spend hours just messing around with that :p
Hero-of-Time Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Quick question. Do the notes appear on every act on the various stages or do some just appear in say act 1 and the rest in act 2? I beat Gruntilda for a 3rd time last night before going to bed. She was pretty hard as she kept bouncing around and no matter what vehicle I used she kept winning. On the 5th try she ended up jumping and then landing on a bit of scenery which tipped her over so I quickly fired at her and beat her to gain the T.T trophy
Guest Stefkov Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Ordered this fom play and still don't have my code for the original. Anyone else still waiting on theirs? I'll be really annoyed if I don't get it even though it says on the email saying it's been posted 'with free original game'.
Sheikah Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Decided to play it...sigh. This really is one of the most bullshit games I have ever played. The vehicles are so poor to control as opposed to a player, and the environments are just wasted space with note collecting almost pointless. If I was to rate this game I'd give it a 3/10. It really is that bad.
Serebii Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 The control of the vehicles gets better as you get more parts I've managed to make the USS Enterprise...with some artistic license of course else it wouldnt be able to fly
Sheikah Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 The control of the vehicles gets better as you get more parts I've managed to make the USS Enterprise...with some artistic license of course else it wouldnt be able to fly It's not even that, because on many challenges you're forced to use a particular vehicle. Pushing the ice cube on Banjo Land is a perfect example of a challenge that was not at all thought through. It's just shockingly bad. I've already slapped lots of engines on, better grip wheels, etc, and it seems that faster vehicles have next to no control. Even with a less fast and weightier vehicle, merely brushing against an object can cause a dead stop or even a 360 degree rotation! They really bent BK over with this game. Poor things.
Serebii Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Well not all the vehicles are perfect no, but most of the challenges are on your own choice of vehicles
Cube Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 It's not even that, because on many challenges you're forced to use a particular vehicle. Pushing the ice cube on Banjo Land is a perfect example of a challenge that was not at all thought through. It's just shockingly bad. I thought that vehicle was too good for the challenge. Edit: Also, is it just me or do the challenges feel a lot more varied than what the reviews suggested? Sure, there's not a massive amount of different types of challenges (then again, you can say that about virtually every game), but each challenge feels suitably different. Anyway. This was the main game that swayed me over to the 360, even before the vehicles and stuff was announced. And so far I'm very pleased with the game.
