Hellfire Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 The show is good and very funny apparantly. Features an old man sucking waste out of a seagulls intestines, if that's enough to get you interested. Best animu ever
Blue_Ninja0 Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Holy... Totally didn't see that one coming. That happens once in a lifetime and apparently it's good. Downloading right away. What the hell did they did to our flag?? They broke it!
Shino Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 That's interesting, here's the seagull scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI8ic5atAJM Its even weirder as the seagull is inside a decomposing pig. The germs look awesome.
Hellfire Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Finally finished watching School Days. Seriously, I didn't it would be that harcore. It even messed with my nerves. It's just... damn.
Supergrunch Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Finally finished watching School Days. Seriously, I didn't it would be that harcore. It even messed with my nerves. It's just... damn. Heh, "based on a visual novel" isn't always a phrase you should take lightly.
Hellfire Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Heh, "based on a visual novel" isn't always a phrase you should take lightly. I didn't know! I would have seen it anyway, it rocks.
Supergrunch Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I didn't know!I would have seen it anyway, it rocks. Hmm, mayhap I should watch it sometime... Other good shows based on visual novels are Kanon (the 2006 verson by Kyoani, not the 2002 version) and of course Higurashi no naku koro ni. Clannad is also based on a visual novel, but I have yet to see that. After seeing the first episode my friend described it as a cross between Haruhi and Kanon. Incidentally, Kyoani do all three shows.
Hellfire Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I have all of those and didn't watch any lol But is the 2006 Kanon different from the original? I thought it was just a remake. Also, is Kanon as heavy as School Days? Cause now I really need something light.

Also, is Kanon as heavy as School Days? Cause now I really need something light. The 2006 Kanon is a remake, but it's generally considered to be way better. And I'd imagine the integration of 5 stories into one is done more effectively. Anyway, I haven't seen or read School Days, but at a guess I'd say Kanon isn't quite as heavy, but still pretty bad. I think the heaviest visual novel I've ever played is Planetarian... that made me burst into tears on two separate occasions. And I don't think any other work of fiction has ever caused me to cry... I've yet to speak to someone who's played it all in one go and hasn't cried.
Hellfire Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 When you see School Days you'll see the type of heavy I'm talking about :P

Supergrunch Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I thought it was a cross between Kanon and AIR. In any case I don't think Clannad is that violent and is mostly a comedy. Sounds interesting anyway. Apparently it's the first flagship Key game where there was no adult version... it's good that they're tending away from eroge, it give visual novels a bad reputation and is pretty pointless.
Hellfire Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I've seen some pictures and I've read it's story. Heavy is the least you can call it. I think I had nightmares about it this night. Granted it could be because I'm sick (again), but I'm pretty sure I dreamed about it.
LazyBoy Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Well Bleach was crap again, but its too be expected, they're trying to buy as much time as possible for the writers. Nice twist about Rukia's brother as well. Ah till next week I guess.
Oxigen_Waste Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I think it's kinda obvious that I mean it happens in Portugal, it's called:Moyashimon Coimbra's uni: Lisbon's free water aqueduct: I think it's a comedy about students that study germs and shit. We must see that shit!!! And that's not free water aqueduct, that's in Coimbra... I dunno what it's called, but fuck it. I think the whole anime is in Coimbra (again, students and all that shit).
Coolness Bears Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I've watched 4 episodes of Clannad so far! (i need to watch 5) I'm really enjoying it even though i'm still not sure what kind of anime it is? I also started the School Rumble Manga today! It's pretty Funny. I haven't watched School Days but next on my list is Kanon!

Dante Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Hayate no Gotoku! turns into Excel Saga with Nabeshin in it in ep:32 "Welcome Demon Hunter Isumi, and Nabeshin".
Oxigen_Waste Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Looks like the aqueduct to me. Naa, it's way too small. It's that thingy in coimbra where all the student hang-outs and frats are. Like a mini-aqueduct. Besides, from what I saw in the first ep, it seems the whole show is in Coimbra. Wich is lol. EDIT: Wtf, I demand my Naruto!
Sanchez Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Haha, I was like Okazaki when he pulled that prank half way through Clannad 5. XD

I think they just felt we we're the most rural thing without going to the third world.
Sanchez Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Haha, YES! KAA finally finished Noein, I can finish as well.
Guest Stefkov Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 I'd totally forgotten about Noein. Had to watch another episode now. I love the art style used in it. It just looks great, and the sound effects are top notch.
