pedrocasilva Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Well, I found out what song it is searching the lyrics on Google. If anyone cares to know, it's Prayer, by Haley Westenra.http://www.rhapsody.com/hayleywestenra/odyssey/prayer/lyrics.html Uhhhhhhh, Foxy. -> Love making on the sandy coastline possible? Only with fishes I'm afraid.
RedShell Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Seriously glad this is getting released in Europe, and this year too.
Zechs Merquise Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I took the liberty of youtubing it, if anyone wants it. Cheers, is it just me or are those graphics just awesome?
pedrocasilva Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Cheers, is it just me or are those graphics just awesome?I find it sexual. Swim in the sea without the cold water and listening to music... hmmm... I could get lost.
Guest Stefkov Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Cheers, is it just me or are those graphics just awesome? I have to agree, the whale at the end of the youtube video looked sublime.
Fresh Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 What do we know about the scale of this game so far? How big is the ocean? How long would it take to cross it? How long to reach the bottom at the deepest part? Is it one giant level or several smaller ones? (eg a tropical area, deep sea area) Will there be laoding between areas?
nintendo_guy Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I love the ocean, so this game should be very appealing to me. Can't wait to play it, for some odd reason.

I think there are different dives to go on.There's an Arctic type dive shown in some pictures. I guess the idea is to go on dives all over the world. But you can choose to do as much or as little as you want... take photo's, research animals, explore sunken recks, find artifacts etc...
flameboy Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 the graphics do look pretty great, but still doesn't capture my imagination at all really to be honest..
nintendo_guy Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I would really like this game if it was to be free-roaming, no loading segments between areas. You know, just one giant world, like Grand Theft Auto or The Wind Waker.

You could read some reviews on Everblue 2 for PS2, they may provide some hints at some of those questions.
AshMat Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Am i right in saying this game consists only of swimming around nonstop under the ocean, stroking dolphins and other fish?
pedrocasilva Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Am i right in saying this game consists only of swimming around nonstop under the ocean, stroking dolphins and other fish?yes you are, there are different "jobs" you can take, you can be a touristic guide, meaning... you'd probably be guiding more people? and you can go look for treasures in the seabed... So not only that.

... Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Right.. and people are hyped for this how? Cause different people have different tastes? You may not find it interesting, but there are people who do. If people read the review for Everblue 2, like I recommended, they'd know a bit more about this type of game. While that one may have got mediocre reviews, it did have some sort of story and a following game always has a chance to improve on what it follows.

The Lillster Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Lmao, I agree Ash I can't believe people are actually going to buy this. It just sounds so dull. It's supposed to be a relaxing game, not everyone likes the same things you do you know.
AshMat Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I'll sit down with a good book then.. it costs less.
Slaggis Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 it looks awesome. Swimming in a big ocean, looking for treasure and what not, taking pictures off all the fish, how can it not be great?! I can't wait.
The Lillster Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I'll sit down with a good book then.. it costs less. A book isn't a game though is it mate.
Hellfire Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 A book isn't a game though is it mate. I'm not following.
The Lillster Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I'm not following. A couple of people were calling Endless ocean dull, and I called them out on it saying it's designed to be relaxing (some people might find this 'dull'). Ashmat then made a snide comment, saying he would rather read a book. I then told him a book isn't a game. A book isn't interactive like a game basically.
