Hello,

I don't know if this interests anyone, but decided to create to comprehensive list of games that are coming to Wii during its launch window. For sake of clarity, I have decided that in my list, launch window games are those that will be released before end of Nintendo's fiscal year (ends 31st of march). In the end of each game there is name of the company who is responsible for the game, and excepted release date (really rough estimates). Colour of game tells what genre game represents. I try to update game specific information so fast as wii get more data.

Ant Bully (THQ, D1)

Avatar: The Last Airbender (THQ, D1)

Blazing Angel: Squadrons of World War II (Ubisoft, D1)

Blitz: The League (Midway, D1)

Call of Duty 3 (Activision, January 2007)

Cars (THQ, probably D1)

Diet Training (Nintendo, before christmas)

Disaster: Day of Crisis (Nintendo, before Christmas)

Disney's Meet the Robisons (THQ, before Christmas)

Elebits (Konami, D1)

Excite Truck (Nintendo, D1)

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (Square-Enix, officially D1, but I strongly doubt it)

Fire Emblem (Nintendo, March 2007?)

Godfather (EA, during launch window)

GT Pro series (Ubisoft, D1)

Harry Potter (EA, during launch window)

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo, D1)

Need for Speed: Carbon (EA, D1)

Madden NFL '07 (EA, D1)

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision, December)

Metal Slug Anthology (SNK, D1)

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo, D1)

Monster 4x4 World Circuit (Ubisoft, D1)

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (Midway, March 2007?)

Open Season (Ubisoft, D1)

Prince of Persia (Ubisoft, March 2007?)

Project H.A.M.M.E.R. (Nintendo, December)

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (Activision, D1)

Trauma Center (Atlus, D1, probably only in Japan)

WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Nintendo, December)

Wii Sports (Nintendo, D1)

D1 = Day one, game that has been promised to be available from day one

Colour codes

Total number of games: 44

I'm honestly surprised how well each important genre has been represented in that list.

mk?wario ware?galaxy?fire emblem?disaster?nah those aren't launch titleS!Do you have a source?

Hence them saying in brackets other dates.

As the guy said, the launch games are the ones that he's put 'D1' in brackets after. Absolutely fantastic launch list, looks like the Wii will have more quality FPS and Racing games than the Gamecube had in its entire lifespan from day one.

Launch window. Like I said, for sake of clarity, I have decided that in my list, launch window games are those that will be released before end of Nintendo's fiscal year (ends 31st of march).

Fire Emblem, Disaster, Super Mario Galaxy, Wario Ware, Resident Evil all appear in Nintendo's own fiscal report and are slated to be released before end of this fiscal year. And I assume that Nintendo itself knows far more better what games are coming to Wii than IGN. Here is the link to the document*:

* Notice also that this document is from June, so it is little outdated (no Ubisoft titles, no Midway titles, etc.)

Thanks for compiling that list :-) Looks good to me.

But IGN reports the newly announced Ubisoft games as being made available in the launch window, thus not necessarily being there on launch day. Maybe you should correct that

Although it looks to be the best launch ever - that isn't the best thing for all of us - I can't pay for all those games! (The games above are the ones I want).

Some articles say that launch day, some launch window. Can't really say which one is the case.

Exactly. Different sources give different stories. Looks like we'll have to wait for Ubisoft or Nintendo to give a definite answer, because right now, i don't think either have.

it's not too much too soon. just buy what you can afford obviously. you can always come back to other ones you want later. better to have the choice. looks like i will be getting 3 games at launch. and i only normally only get one, like when i got the Cube, i just got Rogue leader.

Zelda is a must, Wii Sports to really experience the remote, and Red Steel as long it doesn't get slater in reviews.

Super Mario Galaxy coming that fast? I was expecting may/june. Will probably be delayed to Q4 though.

Also, you forgot to add Prince of Persia (March) and no way that Resident Evil is coming this fiscal year.

Nintendo says so. Of course this makes me wonder what kind of Resident Evil game Wii will get? Probably port of some earlier game. Added also Prince of Persia.

Sweeeet ^_^ this is without a doubt the best launch ever.

Or worst, depending on how you look at it. I know for a fact that Zelda is going to eat all my time up and no other game is going to get a look in. Im hoping that the US get the Cube version of Zelda a few weeks earlier than us so that I can just import it and play it before the Wii arrives.

If you've got Mario Galaxy in there I think you should add on Smash Bros. too....
