david.dakota Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 What Broadband speed do you have and what price do you pay?
Kazzahdrane Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 8 Meg from BT, £29.99 a month. Yeah I know, not a great deal but at least we get it (Telewest claim they can service my postcode then weeks later they get back to you and say "eh...yeah we can't, sorry") and it's very stable. 40Gb monthly limit but even with two heavy PC users we don't reach it.
DCK Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 512 kbit, 25 euros (15 quid). It's a local cable internet supplier and it sucks bad. My parents don't want to change provider because all of the issues that come with that
dabookerman Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Nildram internet 8mb downstream (altho in reality its about 6 coz of my area) 448k upstream 50gb limit, with any unused gb moved over to the next month £25.99
Kazzahdrane Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Nildram internet50gb limit, with any unused gb moved over to the next month Wow, that's rare and very nice. You can save up for bandwidth-heavy months
dabookerman Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Wow, that's rare and very nice. You can save up for bandwidth-heavy months believe me, its an awesome isp, the only hiccup was sometime last month they had a major upgrade of everything and i had downtime for like 30mins. but otherwise they have been immaculate, after tiscali im not prepared to tolerate anymore bullshit
Cube Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 512Mbps 2GB Limit £17.99 a month Worst internet ever. And what does sky broadband tell me? "You can got get Sky Broadband in your area, if you want you can buy Sky HD with £50 off". Would of been nice if we didn't already have Sky HD.
Mr_Odwin Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Nildram internet8mb downstream (altho in reality its about 6 coz of my area) 448k upstream 50gb limit, with any unused gb moved over to the next month £25.99 The same, but because of my area I get about 2.5mb->3mb downstream.
Guest Jordan Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Telewest "Blueyonder" Broadband 10mb downstream 384k (soon to be 512k) upstream No caps, at all. 1:1 contortion ratio (because its cable) £34.99
conzer16 Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 BT Ireland 3 Mb downstream 384k upstream 30GB limit €40 ~ £27
Fields Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I'm curently on BT 2Mb. I'm looking to change next month when the contract is up, possibly to Sky's £17 8Mb package. I also need to sort out broadband for my other house where I don't have Sky. Needs to be cheap with a large bandwidth limit, not too bothered about speed. Any suggestions people?
AshMat Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Ill be switching to Sky's Ultimate package or whatever it's called when its out in my area. The 16mb, Unlimited one.
Charlie Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 after tiscali im not prepared to tolerate anymore bullshit Me neither, I moved over to Pipex, I'm getting 2mb + unlimited home phone calls for £24.99 a month. Unlimited bandwidth too 384k (soon to be 512k) upstream Nice, you'll be able to host our GRAW games without any drop outs soon When do you get upgraded?
Guest Jordan Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 When do you get upgraded? When Telewest can be arsed I bet.
Twozzok Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I'm on AOL We're either on 2mb, or 8mb, with no download cap. We also have 448kbs upload. I'm thinking we have 8mb (though we're limited by our phone exchange to 6mb) we pay quite a bit though, since thats the reason they've upgraded us.
Babooo Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Currently on BT Broadband, 2mb, around £30. But we're gonna be changing to Sky Broadband soon.
The3rdChildren Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Wanadoo/Freeserve/Orange regularly rape me in the ass with my broadband package, but I'm not going through the hassle of changing over again.
Cube Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 So, i have the worst broadband of all then? (btw, its Orange, but my phone cables can;'t reach 1Mbps
mario_jr Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 ATT/SBC Yahoo DSL: 2mb incomming 400kb outgoing no download limit 2gb (I think its gone bigger) storage per screen name $30 a month
Raining_again Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Pipex - 1mb unlimited - 24.99 a month EDIT: absolutely uber, maybe its a touch more expensive than most, but its really worth the money, the service is great and its very incredibly rarely down (about 3 hours in over 2 years)
