CoolFunkMan Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Have you heard the non-live version then? Yes, I do have a link where you can download it, not sure if I can post it though as it's prolly against the rules....
Ashley Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I've just heard Knights of Cydonia, it was aired on radio in the USA last night. I think it's bloody amazing! Trouble is, I don't know if I'm allowed to link it here. :/ You would be correct sir.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I can't wait for this album. The more i listen to super massive black hole, the more i love it.
Sanchez Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Just 'obtained' the album and LOVING IT! What you got is a Mono webrip, I didn't buy a pair of HD650's for nothing. X( EDIT: I'm still getting it, I want this far too much
ShavenWolf Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 What you got is a Mono webrip, I didn't buy a pair of HD650's for nothing. X( EDIT: I'm still getting it, I want this far too much Yeah, it's mono, but hey, I'm gonna buy it on July 3rd anyway. It'll tide me over til then.
CoolFunkMan Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I "obtained" the album too, in high quality! ^^ Thing is, I suddenley don't want to listen to it as I don't want to spoil it. ¬¬
ShavenWolf Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 The version you have is in high quality, but, alas in mono too... I'm highly anticipating a stereo version of Map Of The Problematique!
Lammie Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 God if it sounds this good in mono.......I can't wait till I get the legit (and stereo) CD.
Raven Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 wow. just listened to the song... it is very different. very very different. i will definately buy the album (hey, its MUSE!) will probably listen to a couple of them beforehand though. just to work out 'how the album sounds'. what i mean is, showbiz: looking into space from earth origin of sym: looking FROM space to earth absolution: the apocolypse and the end of it all. listening to the supermassive as i type this message... and i got this image of dancing robots in my head! sounds very much like it could be set AFTER mankind...... *shivers* cant wait for the album!!!
somme Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Muse were always way too self-indulgent for me. Haven't heard this new song, but have no will to either.
Colin Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Just got hold of it aswell. Try before you buy ain't it! Only listened to first three tracks so far, and it's amazing. I'll probably be listening to it over and over tonight I would have thought.
darksnowman Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I saw em do this last night on Jonathan Ross, in fairness it has grown on me and was very good live. Ive only heard it three times now but each time my appreciation of it has grown. Im looking forward to buying it next week as a single to get me warmed up for the album.
Schizoid Man Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 The album is superb! Especially the last three or four tracks, KoC is gonna rock my socks off at Reading!
Sarka Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 The first few and last few songs on the album are fantastic. I'm sure I'll love the middle ones the more I listen to them though. Brilliant album.
darksnowman Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Just to be sure, you guys have downloaded this right? It hasnt secretely been released on CD has it?
Eenuh Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I'd like to hear the new songs but wouldn't know where to get them (other than buying the album when it finally comes out of course). I'm loving this new song; it's very different but it's just a great song and I can't stop singing along. I also can't wait to be seeing them play live again in like, two weeks. =D
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I'd like to hear the new songs but wouldn't know where to get them Just to clear up the fact that this is NOT an invitation for you guys to post links or torrents here.
Charlie Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Just to be sure, you guys have downloaded this right? Nah, we're all members of the press and were all invited to a press-listening off it so we can all review it for our websites.
Eenuh Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Nope, sorry. Didn't mean for that to sound that way. I'd go ask on msn or something if I really wanted them. I have to ask though, are all the songs on the album in the same style as Super Massive Black Hole (so, different) or are they more like the older songs?
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Nope, sorry. Didn't mean for that to sound that way. I'd go ask on msn or something if I really wanted them. I know you didn't mean it like that. But, i know how these things turn out, so i decided to get in their first and warn people off posting links. :p
Raven Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 have talked to some mates of mine who have heard it on the radio. one of them isnt a muse fan, and he HATES it. the other two who have all the albums, heard it. and either: didnt know it was muse OR thought WHAT THE HELL HAVE MUSE DONE? but in saying that, listening to supermassive black hole a few times, we all like it heaps. to me, its one of those songs that grow on you. anyway. have listened to a live thing of 'starlight'. and i really love that song. i cant wait to buy the album. very excited.

I have to ask though, are all the songs on the album in the same style as Super Massive Black Hole (so, different) or are they more like the older songs? Super Massive Black Hole is rather different to the other tracks on the album. I'd say it's a bit of a black sheep compared to the rest.
Athriller Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 My favourite is Invincible. Followed closely by Soldier's Poem and Starlight.
