Caris Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 France Hell Yeah! World ranking: 7 Odds: 10/1 Local view: "They won't do any better than quarter-finals. The team is too old, young players like Franck Ribery cannot break into the squad. Germany will be the twilight for the dinosaurs of the golden generation," Xavier Rivoire, French author.
Blackfox Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 I'll whack this thread in the World Cup Board for now. Seems more fitting there.
Colin Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I'll whack this thread in the World Cup Board for now. Seems more fitting there. Yeh, good call ref! And like Dabookerman said, I've now got his Italy and he's got his native Poland. (who lost today in-fact )
dabookerman Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Yeh, good call ref! And like Dabookerman said, I've now got his Italy and he's got his native Poland. (who lost today in-fact ) I would of gone with them to the end, TO THE VERY FIRES OF MORDOR
MoogleViper Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 30 - Gaggle64 - Trinidad and Tobago WE HAVE A WINNER!!!
AshMat Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Hey, trinidad played well today! (Talking about all this "playing well" reminds me of Reginald D Hunter on 8 Out Of 10 Cats last night)
gaggle64 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 I'm quite surprised at my T&T. Ivory Coast did quite well today too, even if they did lose. I day for the underdog stories it seems.
vascdan Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 World ranking: 1 Odds: 9/4 fav Local view: "The current generation is spectacular, perhaps the best ever. If Ronaldo hasn't worn himself out during the season, he can really put on a show. He can become their top scorer in World Cups and equal Pele by winning his third. I'm backing him and Brazil to pull it off." Flavio Orro, TV Globo. Our verdict: Even losing in the final will be seen as failure. Living up to such expectations will not be easy. They all have European experience, but so did the majority in 1998. With their talent the status of favourites is clearly justified and win or lose, there should be some moments of magic to cherish. Brazil, of course

Brazil, of course Thats what i agree with, the world cup is their stage. brazil are a team that have talent that can play of each other so well. Some teams like holland, they have incredible players, but find it harder to play as a team, same goes with portugal i think.

Roostophe Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 UKRAJINA! UKRAJINA! UKRAJINA! UKRAJINA! I might just get into the quarter finals. Perhaps the people of "Helvetia" should pray to Helvetia that they'll beat Ukrajina. Because I beg to differ. The quarter finals will be where we finish.
ipaul Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Hmmmm.....every team that had won these matches so far has been on the left side.... so Switzerland, Brazil and Spain will win going off that logic :p
dabookerman Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Do I get a prize for being completely robbed? You mean compensation?
