The Peeps Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 The movie? Not really bothered about this... The Simpsons lost its humour a while ago (in my opinion). Only the classic ones make me laugh.
Nintendork Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 Yeah, I guess they've realised that it's starting to wear thin with some people.. better to go out on a bang than just fizzle away. And Fox would benefit from the movie tie-ins, box-office sales and other such products. The scene is just a teaser and it's Homer saying "I forgot what I was supposed to say.." and then it's got a little thing saying we better get started then- coming 2007. (June)
AshMat Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 yeah, this was psoted a while ago. Not really that excited.. Give me Futurama over this any day
Guest Stefkov Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 yea hsaw that in the cinemas, i think its just to go out on a last shazzam! i mean, theyve had ricky gervais in (which was shite) i think this is a farewell from the simpsons. however i could be wrong.
Eddage Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I saw this when I went to see M:I:3, thought it was a Superman Returns trailer since it starts zoomed right in on the Superman logo on his shirt!
gaggle64 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 The fact that Simpsons have lasted so long is truly amazing, but I think it is time to let the whole thing die now. It'll be missed, but it's time to move on.
demonmike04 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I'l watch it, but spider man 3 is the thing to be excited bout!
Mokong Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 no, i don't want to let go of the Simpsons yet, i'm not ready to move on yeah its gotten a bit stale but come on its the simpsons its a legacy:cry:
Noodleman Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Simpsons season 2-10 > *> season 1 > grating your balls > seasons 11 - 14 > sex with john prescot > season 15 onwards. that is all. Oh and whoever thinks this will be then end of the simpsons it wont Fox recently commisioned 2 more seasons with the option of another 2 seasons.
mario114 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I wil go and watch the movie, but I don't bother with the cartoon nowaday's, it's all old.
CoolFunkMan Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 The Simpsons lost it's flare ages ago. I'll prolly download/see the movie out of interest but that's it. My mates summed it up in a convo we had ages back - the characters should have grown up as the series progressed, instead of them all having eternal youth. There's never really been a major plot point in any of the seasons to change the focus of the storyline, hence the outcome - repetitive tripe. Off the top of my head I can only rember the death of one character, and that did bugger all to change the plot majorly. He wasn't even that important! South Park's had more twists than The Simpsons ffs! I'm even liking South Park more than Simpsons now. Though Family Guy and Futurama rule all!
MunKy Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Bah, why are they distracting Groening with this when he should be working on new Futurama? If I can, I'l probably see this. I hope it doesnt last much longer, the new eps have their moments but the Ricky Gervais one: Worst episode ever. Bring back Futurama and never cancel Family Guy again! I hate Fox, cancelled Angel too.
The Peeps Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I agree, Family Guy is so much better than The Simpsons - well obviously as it is now but it's even funnier than the older simpsons episodes and they were class!
Dan_Dare Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I'l watch it, but spider man 3 is the thing to be excited bout! quoted because I love Marvel in a really gay way.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I agree Simpsons has served its purpose and its time to step aside. I love Futurama and hope it gets another shot ( Zapp ownz ) also Im a big fan of American Dad. I picked up the first series the other day on dvd and its hilarious.
Maxi678 Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 The Simpsons has had it's day in the sun, time for it to move aside and allow another show to bask in the sun (Futurama). Probably will see the movie, if i can.
