dabookerman Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 *translates.. Something shiiri mokoso. Nope, i dunno what that means...:_;
triforce_keeper Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Wii Ad. Sheesh don't the Japanese have it easy. They could but 50 words on a gravestone and only pay for like 8 (in english words). Do I make sense?
dabookerman Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Sheesh don't the Japanese have it easy. They could but 50 words on a gravestone and only pay for like 8 (in english words). Do I make sense? Yet, "Watashi wa" merely means "I" OHHHH the translation is: Atarashii Rimokon The n at the end looks too much like so
Kurtle Squad Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I hope there are boards put up around Europe. Nintendo need to go all out this time. That thing at the start must be the Wii start up noise...It sucks.
triforce_keeper Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Yet, "Watashi wa" merely means "I" But how many symbols is that? ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Cube Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 If its real, I hope Nintendo's advertising department here is a billion times better.
Dante Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 TV AD “What is this?” “New remote control?” “Oh Nintendo Wii remote control”
dabookerman Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 But how many symbols is that? ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh わたしは there, the kanji is, according to IME 渡し輪
Jamba Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 TV AD “What is this?†“New remote control?†“Oh Nintendo Wii remote control†Doesn't work for me but hopefully it does for the Japanese. Very short advert, as if it's sponsoring something like the DS ads in the UK.
Smiter Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Sorry if this has been posted/discussed before: Xfire on Wii? "We are in talks with one other console maker," Cassidy said, a likely reference to Nintendo, which is set to launch the Wii in the US two days after Sony releases the PS3. The only other console maker of note, Microsoft, has built its own Xbox Live service from the ground up and has announced its own cross-platform plans to integrate it with cell phones and PCs with Live Anywhere. As most of you guys already know, Xfire is that messaging service that can send and receive messages within games, and see what games the contacts are playing - a perfect fit for what Nintendo said Wii users can see on their friends lists. Sources: http://theboard.zogdog.com/index.php?automodule=blog&blogid=11&showentry=3625 http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6159631.html?sid=6159631 This sounds good. If this is true, then Nintendo are clearly pulling out the stops in online multiplayer (even if the launch titles don't have it).
myster0n Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 TV AD “What is this?†“New remote control?†“Oh Nintendo Wii remote control†Is that from "Learning japanese : lesson 1" ? In Lesson 2 : "Father is playing Zelda. He is very happy."
Raven Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Is that from "Learning japanese : lesson 1" ? In Lesson 2 : "Father is playing Zelda. He is very happy." Lesson 3: "Grandmother is playing Necronesia. She is very sad"
Hellfire Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Lesson 3: "Grandmother is playing Necronesia. She is very sad" I lolled
Etymotic Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 there, the kanji is, according to IME渡し輪 It's definitely like this: 私は Where 私 means 'I'. But anyway, I can't believe we've only got some 50 days to go before Wii comes out. Not long ago everything was a mystery and it felt like it'd be forever before Nintendo would release their new console. And about a month to go till US release? Sheeesh...
dabookerman Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 It's definitely like this:私は Where 私 means 'I'. Ahhh, good, a new thing learnt today. I may start on my Katakana aswell.
Dante Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 new interface screens. It looks like you can nickname your Wii. http://www.nintendojofr.com
ShadowV7 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 It looks like you can nickname your Wii. http://www.nintendojofr.com I never saw that coming...
LazyBoy Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Wow I didn't know you could send e-mail. That's pretty awesome, especially if it works with computers.
Charlie Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Wow I didn't know you could send e-mail. That's pretty awesome, especially if it works with computers. I don't think its email, but just messages to other Wii users... Those screens look pretty good. I wonder what you will see when you bring your Wii up out of stand by, hopefully there wont be a loading screen and you'll go straight into the Wii Channels.
raven_blade2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 The more of Wii I see, the more I want... Those menus look very clean and simple. Now we need to see more screens of the menus behind those menus.
