Noku Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Uhm... Where did who say this was the last in the Smash Bros franchise? Did I miss something?
Cube Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Uhm... Where did who say this was the last in the Smash Bros franchise? Did I miss something? They're making it as if it's the last. It may not actually be the last - all it means it that they aren't doing an EA.
McMad Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 It will probably be the last one Sakurai directs which is a big shame.
Noku Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 It will probably be the last one Sakurai directs which is a big shame. Damn. How did the ties between Sakurai and Nintendo become so... sour?
Cube Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Damn. How did the ties between Sakurai and Nintendo become so... sour? From the sounds of it they aren't sour. Sakuri just moved on to do his own thing. And then got roped into doing Brawl.
The-chosen-one Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 nah it won't be the last the name smashbros has grown to big to be the last of its kind , its just each nintendo Console will have one smashbros game
Shino Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 He might do one again in 10 years or something, but he left Nintendo for this reason, he didn't want to work on old franchises. As for the level, it looks awesome.
Noku Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Okay, thanks for putting my mind to relative rest. Now we can occupy ourselves with what's really important: tagged posts ^^
Hellfire Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Smash isn't the kind of game that can have a million sequels it would just get stale. I always said this during the GC era when people wanted another SSB. It might not be the last, but we won't be seeing one for a long time. And I don't mind as long as this one is awesome.
nekunando Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 If they were doing another Smash in the next few years, I would like it on DS.. but make it different. Implement touch screen controls for your attacks somehow
The-chosen-one Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 or they should make it Wii ware compatible with Downloadable Content or something like that that you can download new characters in the near future for a price new characters / stages / music / missions / or maybe costumes , if that was in i dont need a Sequel ( for the next 10 years that is )
Deathborn Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Nice stage! Was a bit disappointed about the brown amount but, thinking of it, it wouldn't surprise me if there is a way to "revive" the Mushroom Kingdom while playing.
Owen Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Well i'm not to keen on the new stage myself, doesn't really add anything to the mix. But hey! I'm wrong to hate it.
Tales Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I think the stage looks cool. Happy happy Nintendo land is getting old.
Owen Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I think the stage looks cool. Happy happy Nintendo land is getting old. Yeah, they should add like bones of dead 'toads' and 'toadettes' and Peaches head on a stick.
Kurtle Squad Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I REALLY hope Mewtwo's in this....for some reason I just can't stand an original (as in not cloney etc) character being cut. And a character who really represents the 1st Gen of Pokémon, in some ways more than Pikachu.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Like some people in here (and unlike some others :p), I really like the approach they have taken to the Mushroomy Kingdom. It's MEANT to be barren, and though some complain, I think it has a lot of atmosphere.
Dante Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I REALLY hope Mewtwo's in this....for some reason I just can't stand an original (as in not cloney etc) character being cut. And a character who really represents the 1st Gen of Pokémon, in some ways more than Pikachu. How many pokemons and which gen are they upto?
Deathborn Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 A new move called "wall cling" seems to be in the game and, so far, only Diddy is confirmed to be able to perform it. And crawling also seems to not be avalaible for every character. I love those little specificities expanding the uniqueness of characters.
Hellfire Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 But hey! I'm wrong to hate it. Yes you are! I'm joking by the way, so don't report me McPhee. :P
Zelda_Rulez Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 How many pokemons and which gen are they upto? 4th gen now, with 493 Pokemon.
Dante Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 4th gen now, with 493 Pokemon. That many pokemons!
Cube Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 That many pokemons! I just ignore any above 151.
Owen Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Yes you are! I'm joking by the way, so don't report me McPhee. :P No, it's alright. I know i'm wrong, i'll probably play the level when i get the game and really like it, i shouldn't judge before playing it, but on first impressions, it's kinda bland to me, thats all.
