Platty Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 8.8 is an absolutely shit score for a game that got this much hype. I wouldnt worry about a crappy score. Just play it and decide for yourself. I played it for over an hour today and loved it. You cant rate a game like Zelda, I'ts just too good. Obviously im a little biased cos i love zelda games but before hand i did have my doubts over the controls etc but within seconds of playing those doubts were gone as the controls were very easy to grasp and worked really well. The game looks amazing and I just loved it. I can sense many nights ahead where i shall ditch the pub for link.
ZeldaFreak Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 8.8 is an absolutely shit score for a game that got this much hype. yes precisously maybe the higeher 9.0s scores are actually because of hype maybe it is an 8.8 game. I have no trouble there would just of liked voice acting for other characters( excluding link of course) and an orchestral score, because they had 13Gb to play with as well.
DCK Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Oh come on, it got one 9-, it was bound to happen anyway. Look, the game just hasn't grown with time considering graphics and the lack of orchestrated music. Some reviewer had to mention that, and if the game deserves it, it deserves it. I personally don't mind the presentation like that, but I can fully understand someone who does. Anybody bitching over a score like that should get a life.
Hamish Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I can live with a score that is not orchestrated but am annoyed because Nintendo confirmed that it did have an orchestrated score.
triforcemario Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I can live with a score that is not orchestrated but am annoyed because Nintendo confirmed that it did have an orchestrated score.Actually, all they said was that certain points in the game would have orchestrated music, not the entire game.
mcj metroid Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Why doesn't the game have fully orchestrated music?.Was there a reason of why this could not be done in a four years of developement?I can barely tell the difference anyway so it really doesn't bother me.
Dante Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 It doesn't have fully orchestrated music because it would take to much space on the GC disk.
triforcemario Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Plus, by the time they decided to release it both on the GC and the Wii, all the music would have been completed and/or it would have gone over budget to replace the entire soundtrack with a orchestrated one. It doesn't have fully orchestrated music because it would take to much space on the GC disk. True, but remember Star Fox Assault, which had a fully orchestrated soundtrack.
blender Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 If you are not having an orchestra, you should have dynamic music that adjusts to the situation, your health etc... but sounds like they didnt bother with that either
Mr_Aonuma Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 i dont even know the difference between them. ppl complain too much about everything. zelda music has always sounded the same to me. i dontcare for which type of music is better.
Shino Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 True, but remember Star Fox Assault, which had a fully orchestrated soundtrack. But Zelda is a massive game.
Mr_Aonuma Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 this thread got boring. dante any new stuff floatin about that u could give us? saves me from lookin myself. im too lazy.

Mr. Bananagrabber Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Dammit. I've asked for a £180 machine for christmas just to play this game. Looks like it'll be worth it though.
dabookerman Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Im so staying of 4chan, i caught a glimpse of a potential minor spoiler, but reminded me that bigger spoilers could easily be posted.
LordShaithan Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I got a Wii....I stood in line at Target for sixteen hours but I finally got it. Then when I went to pick up TP from GameCrazy the bastards wouldn't accept my preorder. They only let people buying a Wii from there store buy the first shipment of TP. I have to wait until the next shipment. Stuck playing Wii Sports (awesome game) Damn GameCrazy....

arab_freak Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Just a question...why bother using spoiler tags if this thread clearly has a warning?
triforce_keeper Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Probably for clumsy people thinking this thread is the non spoiler one. Despite having SPOILERS:BEWARE
Shino Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 And for people that despite not wanting spoilers, still come here. Like me.
