Sadness

From the guy that made the artwork:

Hey,

thanks for being aware. There must have been some misunderstanding. Generally I work with Nibris doing concept art for Sadness and ROTR. Those three pics Nibris used in their NDS game promo I gave to Nibris only as a sample of my gallery and in what atmosphere I would see a horror game for the NDS to look like. I don't really know why Nibris or Cubed3 released those artworks without my authorization, because they were intended for intranet only. Seems like one big shit :/

Overall, nothing bad happened, I'll try to straighten out some people. Cubed3 should write an apology soon.

Thanks again,

Cheers

Hmm... Even so, releasing artwork for a DS game that has nothing to do with the game in question is just way too dodgy. There's even Silent Hill 5 artwork in there.

This has gone on long enough now Nibris, either you admit you're liars, or give us Sadness screenshots. I don't think the latter will ever happen.

This is becoming farcical, it's even worse than that episode of crap we had with Jeff Minter and his cack excuse for a publicity stunt called Unity for the Gamecube. That was tripe and this is worse, in that simply it doesn't exist otehr than in the minds of a few people and on a concept drawing board.

So Nibris means "his name" in polish or something. An email from the company said "nibris will do his best". So basically, it's one guy being a dick.

Err...

Nibris don't mean anything in Polish. I'm half polack and the name don't tell me shite. Doesent sound like any name I've heard of either.

And for your info, Poland stood under communist occupation untill 1991. English was only taught to loyal communist party members, who were willing to tell how fantastic the Socialistic system was. It's not like all schools had good english teachers right after either. I think that the English lessons are somewhat OK nowadays, allthough they're probbably still not up at the same level as the Swedish one, where I was educated. In polish you can cal things and companies he or she, a bit like in french. That means that they quite simply FUCKED UP. Since you allready know English, you should probbably learn French, Spanish, German or Italian at school (In sweden it's standard that we learn one of those languages beyond english). Imagine you'd start up a game company in a world dominated by one of those languages. In all probability you'd also fuck up somewhere.

Like we say in Sweden; don't hang up on words if you know what someone means.

So Sadness is really a scam? Too bad, seemed kewl.

And I've totally forgotten abou Raid over the River. I'm not a 2D shooter fan, so I don't really care.

ROTR was looking good though, I wonder if we'll ever see that.
I really doubt the screenshots we saw were an actual game. They looked more like 'target renders' as they call them. If they achieved graphics like that years ago the game should at least be showable.

They actually DID show a trailer of the DS version last year. Since then, though, the game's seems to have switched name and theme (from a timesplitter-ish time travveling thingy, to a more story driven game taking place in a single era).

How's this?

Although this doesn't confirm that Nibris isn't just one guy working out of his mum's basement. Although it does look like it could be a nice basement.

I can't understand Nibris, everything seems fake and wrong, but that DS playthrough of ROTR just makes you have to believe they're real, right?

I'm honestly not going to think about Sadness until we get a real reason to believe it, but in truth I'm going to say its just a real company who fail at planning ahead.

Has fogstudio's ever done anything before? Or is it just another convinient appearance of a company from nowhere?
