Charlie Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I hate you guys. You don't know hoe tempted I am to getting one of these. probably wait until price drop/Halo 3 time. Same here, I have absolutely no money though. I'll probably get one on Halo 3 release day whenever that is.
rokhed00 Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Ok... I'm going to sawp Oblvion for GRAW.ANy framerate problems and such in GRAW and what are the downsides? You do get the occasional bit of slowdown on GRAW, and the online game keeps kicking people out or freezing up, other than that it's great.
1UP Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 ah, thanks, though I'm actually getting into oblivion. Buy GRAW in like 2 weeks or wait for Topsin 2 or table tennis?
m_fergy Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Yes, I went High-Def yesterday. Currenty, I'm around 4 feet away using the screen as my laptop monitor, with sky sports at the bottom corner using PiP. Overall, Awesome. Nice 1 Much ya pay ??
Bluejay Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 with sky sports at the bottom corner using PiP. Whats PiP?
CVD Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Picture in Picture, yes. Means you can simultaneously use the screen as a monitor whilst watching TV in another portion of the screen. The TV was from PC World, £600. Reserved it on friday night and picked it up from my local store the following afternoon.
Cubechris Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 £600? Not bad, but i've seen it cheaper. Links please. (If its the same model ofcourse)

The 23" isnt even HD is it ??
Guest Jordan Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 It is, according to the Samsung site. Anything below the 23" isn't HD however.
RoadKill Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 They're both 1366x768, so they both support 720p, which is 1280x720.
CVD Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I got the 26" for £600. It was £575 on Amazon but wasn't in stock and didn't want to wait for delivery.

Domstercool Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Acck, all these pics of shiny new TVs, must not get into it all, must resist.
Hero-of-Time Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Acck, all these pics of shiny new TVs, must not get into it all, must resist. Your not the only one. I only have a 28inch widescreen and I refuse to go lower than 28 inch as I used to it so its gonna cost me quite a bit for a decent HD-TV. Are these ones any good? http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=ELEC&title=742345&p=321&g=409&pa=sr http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=ELEC&title=742342&p=321&g=409&pa=sr http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=ELEC&title=860689&p=321&g=409&pa=sr
Owen Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Oblivion is VERY over-whelming! However i've played for about 5 hours now, and something just clicked and now i'm really into it...strange. I have joined two guilds. Although i'm not sure if ones cancelled out and your only allowed to join one? Anyway i'm loving it. The graphics are wonderful, however they are a little rough in the distance and it stutters for a few seconds when it loads to go in different areas. Other then that, one of the best games on the 360 so far.
ShavenWolf Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Is the 23" arlright m8 ?? Im gettin a HD but dont know what size to get I will only be using it for games like so i dont want to be spending a fortune I only use it for my playing games (I have a booster aerial for my TV, but it's crap) and it suits me perfectly. Well, for a bedroom anyway, it's a bit too small for a main TV.

Jav_NE Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Ive got a damn DVD/TV comby! I cant wait to get any sized HDTV! 23" would do me perfectly! Only a month to go till my loan comes, come on! Only thin gis, ill be looking for a new flat and will need money for all the crapy deposits and shit. If it stops me getting that TV i may possibly cry. Sad though it is. what have we become?!
Hero-of-Time Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I was just wondering what you guys think of the achievements in the games. I know alot of people kick off about them as people do see them as bragging rights but I personally think of them as a way to expand the value of the game. Its a great way to stretch the length of a game such as Kameo.
