Happenstance Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 ... That'll be informative and take into accounts other opinions. Better would be to do a survey thing in the form of PM's. Kinda like every other awards show. Then we'd get the N-Europe's general concensus, rather than just one persons. Would make more sense that way
Hem Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Heathen. It's a shame most of the forum population doesn't share your fine taste in film Oxigen
ReZourceman Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Give them awards from my opinion though. (Like film of the year) The whole point is its my opinion.
Hellfire Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I like movies that entertain me. Don't give a flying fuck, if they're "artistic" or clichéd. If it's good it's good, that's what really matters, I'm not going to say I prefer a movie because it's all artsy farty to a movie, like say, Superbad just because superbad isn't "artistic".
ReZourceman Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 rez please stop with that god damn joke! Request noted, and complied with.
rokhed00 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Miss Congeniality 2 - even my girly side can't love this - 2/10
Slaggis Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Crash Watched it in sociology today, I've seen it before, but really like it. Great movie. 8.5/10
rokhed00 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 CrashWatched it in sociology today, I've seen it before, but really like it. Great movie. 8.5/10 Which one, the original or the hollywood remake?
Slaggis Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Which one, the original or the hollywood remake? The remake, I think it's a great movie. (Please don't start moaning about how hollywood ruins things )
mcj metroid Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Request noted, and complied with. good:).....thank you for complying
rokhed00 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 The remake, I think it's a great movie. (Please don't start moaning about how hollywood ruins things ) Not going to moan about anything, although I have heard the original is better, haven't seen either myself, doesn't really interest me.
Slaggis Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Not going to moan about anything, although I have heard the original is better, haven't seen either myself, doesn't really interest me. Ah right ok. I've seen both, but prefer this. It was just one of those movies that really made me think (if that makes any sense).
Happenstance Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I havent seen either aswell but from what I hear about the remake is that its a bit disrespectful to the audience in the fact that it spoon feeds nearly all the information to you.
Slaggis Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I havent seen either aswell but from what I hear about the remake is that its a bit disrespectful to the audience in the fact that it spoon feeds nearly all the information to you. Watch it, you might enjoy it . (Or the other) I know Oxigen (think it was hilm) said he felt like that, but I never got that impression.
Happenstance Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Well I have seen bits of the remake but its just never interested me. Lately though I have really got back into movies so i'll probably watch it all.
Oxigen_Waste Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Watch it, you might enjoy it . (Or the original) I know Oxigen (think it was hilm) said he felt like that, but I never got that impression. I could not've said that... As far as I know Crash is not a remake... and if there is an "original" Crash, I would like to know where to find it. What's it's name?
Slaggis Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I could not've said that... As far as I know Crash is not a remake... and if there is an "original" Crash, I would like to know where to find it. What's it's name? It's a sort of remake, of a movie by the same name. Here it is. It's just a contraversial movie, like this crash movie, some reviews drew comparisons to it and this one. Sorry! Must have confused you with someone else.
Noodleman Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Erm the "original" Crash is a completly different film to the POS one that won oscars. One is about people who are turned on by Car crash victims. The other is the biggest pile of self indulgent wank I have ever seen.
Solo Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Yeah the 96' Crash is the Cronenberg car porno starring James 'Daniel Jackson' Spader. Nooo relation whatsoever although both are overrated tbh.

Slaggis Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Secret Window Just had this on in the background while on the PC. Erm, it's not bad, but not that wonderful either. A bit "meh". 5/10
Oxigen_Waste Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 What????? Are you people retarded??? Two movies who happen to have the same name are instantly acknowledged as remakes????? What the fuck?? Crash by Cronenberg has nothing to do with Crash. Except cars, perhaps.
Jimbob Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 The Number 23 Watched it for the second time, still as creepy and weird as i remembered it but still a great movie with twists throughout, more twisty and weird once you have had a few to drink. 9/10
Daft Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Control All about Ian Curtis and Joy Division. Really good but I thought it dragged on a bit towards the end. 8.5/10
