Hero-of-Time Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Some crazy scores this evening. What the hell is going on in the Bayern game?
killthenet Posted September 17 Posted September 17 After Villa's performance earlier I was looking forward to us playing Bayern at home next but now I'm a bit worried about it - seems like it'll be a struggle to stop them scoring
bob Posted September 18 Posted September 18 What does everyone think about the new Champ League format? I was a bit surprised because I'd not seen that much fanfare about it, which was weird because it seems like a huge change. I think I like the look of it though. It seems like you'll get many more varied matchups earlier on, and now exciting games, but I don't know how it'll change the competition. I'm sure people will be arguing for years that the new format is 'easier' and any win going forward won't count as much etc etc.

darksnowman Posted September 19 Posted September 19 https://youtu.be/vCxVnxw7wRI They came out with this 5 min video a fortnight ago to try to explain and build excitement for the Super Lea... new format of the Champions League.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 22 Posted September 22 City v Arsenal is turning out to be a spicy match. Can't believe Trossard got himself sent off. I imagine they will park the bus in the second half now that they are a man down.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Jammy gits. Honestly thought Arsenal were gonna hold them back. Still, them sharing points plays in Liverpool's favour and we also got to see Pep lose it with his chair.
Happenstance Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Can't remember the last time Liverpool looked like such a sloppy mess

Hero-of-Time Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Tuchel has been appointed as the England manager. Finally someone decent in charge. 1

Genuinely shocked that they've gone ahead and signed exactly who I was asking for, who was the actual obvious choice, but heck yeah, finally! Now let's just hope there aren't any skeletons in the closet please, that's how we lost the obvious best coach in the world in Allardyce
Hero-of-Time Posted October 28 Posted October 28 It will be interesting to see if any manager can get that group of players playing well.
Hero-of-Time Posted November 5 Posted November 5 City getting beat again and Haaland misses a pen. These things give me life. Another solid performance by Pool. We are a bit of a second half team at the moment. Faff around in the first half, clearly getting a telling at half time and then come out swinging in the second.
killthenet Posted November 7 Posted November 7 It was a silly mistake to make but it's an absurd thing for the referee to give a penalty for. An Arsenal player apparently did a similar thing in Europe last season and the referee just used their common sense. Mings had no idea Martinez had kicked the ball, he thought he had just rolled it to him to take the goal kick. If he had handled the ball under pressure from the opposition then I would understand it but it was ostensibly a dead ball, it seems ridiculous to pull him up on it. We didn't play particularly well, looked pretty lost in the second half even before the penalty, but it's still a hard one to take. 1
Hero-of-Time Posted November 27 Posted November 27 We've finally done over Madrid. Love it! Now for us to come crashing down when City inevitably beat us (despite their shoddy form) come the weekend.
Happenstance Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Happy Liverpool are in front but I'm a bit worried we're going to regret all those missed chances...

Should have been easily 3 goals up at this point. Wouldn't surprise me if City come out fighting in the second half.
Hero-of-Time Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Love it. This City team are a mess at the moment. Long may it continue. 1
Hero-of-Time Posted December 5 Posted December 5 Terrible performance from Pool last night. The first half is the worst I've seen us play in a long time and we were lucky to get a point. Everyone keeps talking about City, Pool and Arsenal for the title but Chelsea and silently going about their business and are certainly a contender.

Shhh, what people don't know can't hurt them...until it's too late Seriously though, we're missing some absolute sitters despite some massive wins recently. I'll gladly take Top 3 so long as we manage to somewhat maintain this momentum as these younger lads seem to fall apart at times when in a slump. This is by far the most I've enjoyed watching us since the takeover though, which is great 1
