@Glen-i @BowserBasher @Dcubed I just realised... there's me automatically suggesting "Perfect Dark" as the default Friday game (for whenever you're not playing Mario Party anyway) but Turok 2 is now on NSO... and that had a pretty decent multiplayer mode, if I recall correctly.

So... Turok 2: Seeds of Evil N-E Multiplayer this Friday? (potentially)

I was actually gonna suggest as much.

It's no Perfect Dark, then again, what is? But it'd make a good "change of pace" FPS.

Well, until Rage Wars gets added, at least.

Yup, always up for a change of pace. And we can always go back to PD if Turok doesn't do it for us.

Random question about Banjo-Kazooie in NSO: on the original N64 cart I recall that once you had collected the ice key and any eggs (either through use of Game Genie or the Sandcastle cheat codes) they would remain on the cart, even when you tried to delete all the data.  This meant you could only capture each one once per cartridge.  Does anyone know if they remain in your game on the NSO version?  So once collected they remind on there (unless you use a different profile).

I’ve tried looking online but I can’t seem to find the answer to this anywhere.  Or am I simply remembering it wrong about them remaining permanently on the N64 cart?

You are correct.  They remain permanantly unlocked once found, regardless of save file; as their save status is saved seperately from the save file itself.

Naturally, the same thing would apply for the NSO release too.  You'd have to wipe the entire cartridge save if you want to collect them again.

There's three of us playing with NSO tonight if anyone wants in. 8:30pm.

Likely Perfect Dark, but if a hypothetical mysterious fourth person wants to try something else, I'm sure we can humour them.

I got the N64 controller as it was on sale, but just my luck it went on sale the very week I let my NSO sub end and renewed down to the normal tier without N64 games. lol

I tested it out on Mario 64 on the 3D Mario collection and it seems pretty good although I feel like the analog stick is much stiffer to move around. It feels like my thumb needs quite a bit of extra force to move it compared to any controller I have used before. I don't know if that is a case of me being used to my original N64 controllers analog sticks becoming looser over time, as they did, but I don't recall it ever being like that.

Other then that, it feels good to use it and I am sure the stick will become easier to use over time.

Weekly updates!? Don’t mind if I do :D

Guess that means that we’ll get DKL 3, DK94 and DK64 over the next few weeks then.

Edit: Oh wait, I forgot about DKC GBC and the GBA games (DKC 1-3, King of Swing and Mario VS DK).  Plenty more DK that they could put out! (King of Swing is great BTW! Very underrated!)
