CompSci Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 it was only a matter of time http://www.gamespot.com/news/6142801.html
mike-zim Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 i was interested in the gizmondo untill i saw the games out for it. crap crap crap.
Jon Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Oh well another bites the dust. No suprise really - they spent more on their executives than their console.
Bren Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 not surprised, never seen a shop stock them or a person play one.
AshMat Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 No suprise, all i've heard of these things is crap crap crap. And te only place i ever saw one was Toys 'r' us
Sonic238 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 i stumbled across gizmondo on the amazon.de website... if it wasn't for that, i would've never heard of that thing. just looked again, it isn't even available, YET! and it looks like sh**.
demonmike04 Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Boy...this looks grim if any other newcomers wanna step up and sell gaming hardware..
gorrit Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I think you have to be much more specialized to survive in the handheld market, like for example support homebrew etc Edit: Not specialized, unique
RoadKill Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Gizmondo was a pretty decent looking console and had some interesting capabilities, but they did not have the backing and the power to break into the market, which is a real shame. They should have cut their losses and just gone into game development.
