... or the other way round: HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray Discs i did a little research because i was interested which format did his homeworks better. i stumbled across some threads in the forum and got to some interesting reads. i will list some differences between the two formats before i pose my question to you. HD-DVD: less expensive than Blu-Ray due to the same fabricating method that today's DVDs use sizes: 15 GB Single Layer, 30 GB Dual Layer there are no hd-dvd-rws (stupid acronyms!) better protected from scratches because the layer is thicker Blu-Ray: more expensive sizes: 25 GB Single / 50 GB Dual Layer there are Blu-Ray RWs the layer is not 0.6mm thin but 0.1mm the whole thing can be read here: http://www.engadget.com/2005/09/19/blu-ray-vs-hd-dvd-state-of-the-s-union-s-division/ now my question: which format do you think will establish itself? which format do you prefer? your comments on this? last time i wanted to build myself a pc my options were a core duo and a asus mainboard. i'm not really up to date at the moment, but i think core 2 duos are the way to go. everything else above it is too expensive and amd was, but isn't an option anymore. but then again, that's just 2 cents of a student of telematics

i don't know what your problem is about? you have a good graphics card. and if you don't know the rule in tech, then don't go buying stuff: "if you can wait, wait. if you can't, buy it." i mean, everytime i buy something i just KNOW that at least 2 days later my product is old. or even before i bought it.

my educated guess is that you have to give them fixed IPs. to do so, you have to open the network connections (i'm translating the names of the places/registers so it might be called different). right click on the connections, properties. scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), highlight and again properties. then click on "use following ip-adresses" and give it a number i.e. 192.168.0.1 and a subnetmask 255.0.0.0. do the same at the other pc (but with a different ip, i.e. 192.168.0.3) and you should be able to connect them.
