Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) Revealed during the Nintendo Digital Event. It's a genius concept! My favourite new game that was shown! Edited June 16, 2015 by Glen-i
Posted June 16, 2015 It's a genius concept! My favourite new game that was shown! Of the two new games It does look cool, though.
Posted June 16, 2015 Yeah looks good, but wish it was on Wii U...
Posted June 16, 2015 Do like it though would have enjoyed a big Paper Mario RPG on WiiU. I'd have concerns on it grinding too much - Dream Team left me a bit fatigued and I eventually lost interest rather than bothering to finish it; just hope they learn from that for this(and maybe the reduce the overuse of handholding too). Posted June 16, 2015 Actually looks a really fun game and a departure from that god awful sticker star
Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) Right, I shouldn't have to point this out... THIS IS NOT A PAPER MARIO GAME! It's the fifth Mario & Luigi game. Seriously, it's blatant to anyone who's seen any Mario & Luigi game. EDIT: NoE have decided to completely ruin the joke again by shoving Bros at the end of the title... Urgh... How do I change a thread title? Do I have ask a mod? Edited June 16, 2015 by Glen-i

Posted June 16, 2015 It's the fifth Mario & Luigi game. The fifth? And people keep telling me Nintendo don't milk their franchises.
Posted June 16, 2015 Paper Jam sounds like a toilet blockage. I suppose they are plumbers though.
Posted June 16, 2015 If this played like Super Paper Mario or Sticker Star, ie. mostly a platformer with RPG elements I would be all over it. Sadly, it's just another Mario & Luigi game which I just can't seem to get into.

Seriously, it's blatant to anyone who's seen any Mario & Luigi game. Treehouse seemed to think it was both, and made a point of telling me so!
Posted June 16, 2015 Best announcement by far. Awesome cross-over. I am happy.
Posted June 16, 2015 This game looks way better than Dream Team. I love everything I saw (especially dat papercraft Mario). The fifth? And people keep telling me Nintendo don't milk their franchises. 5 games in 12 years is not that much.
Posted June 16, 2015 The fifth? And people keep telling me Nintendo don't milk their franchises. Five games spanning three consoles. That's a little different to a COD or Assassin's Creed every year, or six Forza games in a decade.
Posted June 16, 2015 This game absolutely made E3 for me. After the event ended, I barely remembered anything else that was in it because I walking on air about this. Brilliant concept to mash up two of my all-time favourite series!
Posted June 16, 2015 Five games spanning three consoles. That's a little different to a COD or Assassin's Creed every year, or six Forza games in a decade. No that's okay, because Nintendo didn't make them....
Posted June 17, 2015 This game absolutely made E3 for me. After the event ended, I barely remembered anything else that was in it because I walking on air about this. Brilliant concept to mash up two of my all-time favourite series! Have you played all of the games in the franchises, out of interest?
Posted June 17, 2015 No that's okay, because Nintendo didn't make them.... Please, don't put words into Drahkon's mouth.
Posted June 17, 2015 Since the only Paper Mario game I've played is Super Paper Mario and finding it a giant crock of shit, this crossover is not inspiring me with much confidence.
Posted June 17, 2015 Since the only Paper Mario game I've played is Super Paper Mario and finding it a giant crock of shit, this crossover is not inspiring me with much confidence. Get the Virtual Console Paper Mario 64 effective immediate!! My only let down about this was they didn't call it "Paper Capers" (was thinking that the entire showing, HAS to be called that!) apart from that looks great fun
Posted June 17, 2015 No that's okay, because Nintendo didn't make them.... Wow. Five games spanning three consoles. Should've also maybe used "milking the Mario IP" instead of "franchise", so: still milking, in my opinion. I fail to see how "5 games in 12 years" is much better than "6 years in a decade", too. That's something for a different thread, though Anyway, game does look interesting.
Posted June 17, 2015 I fail to see how "5 games in 12 years" is much better than "6 years in a decade", too. One is an iterative driving sim, the other is a story-driven RPG.
Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) One is an iterative driving sim, the other is a story-driven RPG. I still don't get it, but maybe I'm just stupid. Edited June 17, 2015 by drahkon
Posted June 17, 2015 I still don't get it, but maybe I'm just stupid. "6 years in a decade" Now I'm not saying anything but... (soz bro, you know I just couldn't resist - absolutely nothing to do with the topic at all!)
Posted June 17, 2015 There are 6 years in a decade... ...along with another 4.
