Ramar Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I've got to say I hate how studios now think it's ok to split one film into two. I'm blaming you Harry Potter.
Happenstance Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I've got to say I hate how studios now think it's ok to split one film into two. I'm blaming you Harry Potter. Usually I would agree but its just already making me think that the multi movie build up to this story should be amazing and epic if we are getting two movies out of it.
Cube Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I've got to say I hate how studios now think it's ok to split one film into two. I'm blaming you Harry Potter. Well, this is going to be a rather big story and will likely include both The Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
DriftKaiser Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) I agreed with @Cube. It's more sensible to split the Infinity War adaptations into two films to included both The Avengers and the GoTG. Edited October 28, 2014 by DriftKaiser Automerged Doublepost
Happenstance Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Has anyone actually said the Guardians will be appearing in it or is this just wild and quite frankly, dangerous speculation?
DriftKaiser Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 Has anyone actually said the Guardians will be appearing in it or is this just wild and quite frankly, dangerous speculation? They will make an appearance because they have a connection with the infinity gems and a certain villain.
Cube Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Has anyone actually said the Guardians will be appearing in it or is this just wild and quite frankly, dangerous speculation? Just speculation. Although James Gunn has said that there will be a crossover at some point, but wouldn't say if it would be all of them or some of them. The Thanos story and Infinity Gauntlet story is heavily linked with the Guardians of the Galaxy, so it would be a bit odd for them to not have a part.
Retro_Link Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 It's not like they're purposefully splitting a book in two though... This film will be the MCU's own story, just with inspiration drawn from the likes of Infinity War, Infinity Gaunlet, and purely too big to be crammed into one movie. I'm so excited. I was hoping they'd start to do longer movies for the Avengers films, but now we get two! No doubt everyone will be coming together for Part 2!! GotG, The Inhumans, Daredevil and friends...
Beast Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I see a point in splitting some films into two. Harry Potter and Mockingjay being two of them. They're big stories with loads happening. I'd be disappointed if they had to miss parts out of the story for run-time. At least this way, nothing will be missing from the story or the characters and whatnot. Looking forward to this. I think I'll need to try and buy all of the Marvel films involving the Avengers! Also, Hulk is a beast!
EEVILMURRAY Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I see a point in splitting some films into two. Harry Potter and Mockingjay being two of them. They're big stories with loads happening. Deathly Hallows was probably the only book which didn't need splitting, on account of bugger all happening.
MindFreak Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I don't mind them splitting up the last movie into two. I dislike that there is a whole year between - they do film it at once so the time between could be less.
Retro_Link Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 They have The Inhumans coming out in between though to fill the gap. And presumably because The Inhumans will show up in part 2, maybe when the battle goes intergalactic.
Cube Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 They have The Inhumans coming out in between though to fill the gap. Inhumans and Captain Marvel.
Beast Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Deathly Hallows was probably the only book which didn't need splitting, on account of bugger all happening. I thought loads happened. If Part 2 was shortened, I'd have been so pissed off.
Mokong Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Awesome...also seems to confirm that Loki's Staff from Avengers is definately an Infinity Gem too
EEVILMURRAY Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I thought loads happened. If Part 2 was shortened, I'd have been so pissed off. In part 2 yes, but part 1 could've been condensed into 30 minutes at the max.
Ramar Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 In part 2 yes, but part 1 could've been condensed into 30 minutes at the max. What you on about, Harry Potter and the camping trip woods was the best bit...
Beast Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 What you on about, Harry Potter and the camping trip woods was the best bit... It was good character development, man! Besides, Emma Watson's sideboob...
