MoogleViper Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Hoping to get a bit of Springfield or Neil Young. May I recommend the album "Harvest". Such a good album. Written in the spoiler tag so Dan doesn't see it.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Did ALL of my Christmas shopping today! Got my mum a book and DVD she'd wished for and my dad some serving spoons for his large cookware (I hope they're large enough - it was surprisingly difficult finding anything much larger than the standard size!) and some quality socks. I also got them a combined present in the form of a box set from one of their/our favourite bands.
Magnus Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Written in the spoiler tag so Dan doesn't see it. Dan would have to actually visit N-E to see the post.
MoogleViper Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Dan would have to actually visit N-E to see the post. Well I imagine he is going to... ...what?
Daft Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Bought this for my nephew. He will like Batman.
MoogleViper Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 (edited) I've pretty much sorted the males in my family (Dad, Brother and Brother-in-law), but haven't got anything for the females (Mother, Sister, Sister-in-law and Niece), although I'll probably just put some money in my niece's savings account, she'll have plenty of toys clogging up the house as it is. Damnit women, why are you so hard to by for? Come on people, give me some ideas. EDIT: Is a Kindle voucher a shit present? Edited December 18, 2012 by MoogleViper
Magnus Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Vouchers are just money that you're forced to use in a specific store. Damnit women, why are you so hard to by for? Come on people, give me some ideas. Negligees, expensive jewellery, diamonds... those are the things men buy for women in movies.
Daft Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 After watching Justice League: The New Frontier and reading Minutemen my LOVE for Darwyn Cooke has solidified so I bought this for my brother. It sounds excellent and even if it sucks Cooke's art is stunning. Three down, two to go.
nightwolf Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 For my mum: - The Phantom of the Opera - the threatre version, she loves it, but hasn't been able to see a show in years. - Red slippers with a little yorkie on them. She asked for them specifically. Dad: - A flashing LED light for his motorbike. He already has one, but he uses it for triatholons he does, so it'll be nice for him. Even if the box came completely battered up. Housemate: - This: http://www.firebox.com/product/2936/Little-Devil-Bloody-Mary-Spice-Mix (She absolutely loves drinking Bloody mary cocktails) Friend: - These: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ea91/ They are absolutely huge, I expected them to all be a4 size, but they are more true to a3 size, so impressed as there's 5 of them for 9.99$. They were only supposed to give me 4, but they put a 5th poster in, I was so pleased! I think I did pretty well this year, considering I wasn't sure what to get everyone .
