James McGeachie Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 No discussion on this is necessary. I think on announcement, all our thoughts and feelings were in perfect harmony and we all collectively understand what we think about this "game".
D_prOdigy Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Great to see Nintendo rescuing the brill FreeStyle following the collapse of DJ Hero.
nekunando Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 This game shows why gaming and music are basically dead
darksnowman Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 No discussion on this is necessary. I think on announcement, all our thoughts and feelings were in perfect harmony and we all collectively understand what we think about this "game". Completely agree. I see no need for a thread.
ReZourceman Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I guess it could be good if drunk but...like...I don't understand. They said it was really innovative. Having lyrics come up on the GP held vertical style isn't a very good feature*. *Expletives removed.
Retro_Link Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 So I'm the only person who thinks this looks fun?Tbh I thought it looked like it could be pretty fun, in the right situation. Can also see it selling well to the Just Dance/Zumba crowd that love the Wii. I thought the lyrics on the pad was quite a nice little addition.
James McGeachie Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Okay, so people actually saw a game after all then? Perhaps I missed that, I didn't see any gameplay, literally just one people being able to read song lyrics and everyone else singing and dancing and pretending they were interacting with the game? You may as well just put the song on your PC/iPod/Stereo/whatever and have someone read lyrics off a page if you want to sing and dance in your living room.
daftada Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 So I'm the only person who thinks this looks fun? Nope! I regularly have gaming evenings with my girlfriend and her mates and this will fit in perfectly. Just Dance 4 looks like a winner too. We've always had to switch to SingStar if we wanted to play a karaoke game. Hope Nintendo can launch it with a decent library of songs. Why are people on here whinging so much about this? It's made by a very good studio, they're bound to be adding more innovative features than we saw here (and I like the idea of having lyrics on the tablet), and so what if it appeals to casual gamers. It's not taking resources away from Nintendo's core titles, so stop acting like this is the final nail on Nintendo's coffin or whatever.
Diageo Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I agree. "I don't like it so it's a disaster to every industry imaginable", ridiculous. It looks like a fun karaoke game with lyrics in your hand.
dazzybee Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I don't think people had a problem with the game as such, just combined with Just Dance and Wii fit the focus the conference was giving to these types of games.
Fused King Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Oh man, I got trolled SO HARD by Reggie when he said 'Sing'. Before he showed the logo, I thought he was talking about: I was desperate for MEGATONS I tell you:laughing:
