-Dem0- Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Another great game for the 3DS. Review: http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/3ds/shin_megami_tensei_iv
Andyliini Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I think I'll get this. I have only player Persona 3 from this series before and so far it has been a bit... boring. BTW, is it confirmed who will release this in Europe? I have understood, that Nintendo will, but I have not found any certain information.
-Dem0- Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Yeah, last I heard Nintendo was publishing for the EU.
Tamazoid Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I thought last we heard we didn't know who was publishing it, just that it's coming. NIS is doing Soul Hackers and Etrian Odyssey 4 correct?
Andyliini Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Yes, NISA is bringing Soul Hackers and Etrian Odyssey 4. Ghostlight still has rights to bring Devil Survivor 2, but we haven't heard anything on it since March. Might be interesting tough, if SMT IV, Sould Hackers and Devil Survivor 2 would all release around the same time, all by different publishers. Regarding SMT IV, I believe it should be coming Q3 2013 in Europe, but after that Direct, we haven't heard anything. If it's really coming this Fall, it probably is not by NISA, as their page does not mention it. Soul Hackers and Etrian Odyssey 4 are there.
-Dem0- Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I think I'll get this. I have only player Persona 3 from this series before and so far it has been a bit... boring. Well all I know is that the Persona games are a spin-off from the main Megami Tensei series, although the Persona series as a whole has been well received so you should at least finish it off if you get the chance so you can try some of the other games.
Shorty Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Any word on the EU release date Edited July 13, 2013 by Shorty
-Dem0- Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Any word on the EU release date Nope, only that it will arrive this year.
Tamazoid Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Do we even know who's publishing it in PAL regions yet? I'm guessing it's either NIS or Nintendo. There's such a large concentration of RPGs set to release during the second half of this year.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Apparently NoE are working on the translation. French Nintendo honcho Stéphane Bole gave an interview for the web version of a major French publication (LeFigaro.fr), in which he talks about sales in France and various stuff. What caught my attention is that right after he mentions how Bravely Default sold 60 000 units in France (a respectable number), he mentions that they are "hard at work on the French translation of Shin Megami Tensei, another Japanese RPG".
Shorty Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 They should just release it in US English and patch in the translations or something.
Miharin Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Better late than never I suppose... But by now most people don't care.
darksnowman Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 E3 a success this year: ANNOUNCEMENT: Shin Megami Tensei IV will be available digitally in Europe for the Nintendo 3DS in Quarter 3 2014.
Shorty Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Weird that it's digital only but no worries, I'll take what I can get looking forward to it.
Ike Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Seems Atlus are publishing this. Did Nintendo drop it? Did Atlus take it back? Sounded like Nintendo was still handling the localisation recently.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Digital only on a Nintendo platform means I'll be waiting forever for that price drop. *sigh*
Miharin Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I hope it's going to be priced at 25€ max. Such a ridiculously long wait with no real confirmations at any point has made me mad. Shut up and take only half of my money.
Hero-of-Time Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 @darksnowman was wondering when this would hit. Glad to see its at a discounted price.
Shorty Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Totally happy with £17.99 Don't mind a digital version either, in fact the fact it's eShop only probably accounts for the low price.
darksnowman Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Great price - almost makes the wait worth it. I was prepared to pay double this to be honest. Roll on September!
drahkon Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Never played a Shin Megami Tensei game. It's supposed to be like Persona? Played Persona 4 Golden (well...not much, but...). What's the series like? Do I need to play the first games to understand IV? I love JRPGs and would like to use my 3DS again before Smash.
Sheikah Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If you haven't played much of P4G then stop what you're doing and don't even think about playing anything else until you complete it.
drahkon Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If you haven't played much of P4G then stop what you're doing and don't even think about playing anything else until you complete it. Blabla. I know it's a great game. But it's too time consuming to play right now. I can hardly manage The Last of Us :p
