Haden Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 Slightly miffed at that result, still nevermind if things keep going this way I will be down and ready to come back uber style like Bru!!
Dyson Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Most excellent - a 1-0 victory at Haden is a great result for the Wanderers. Anyone seen the new Youth Academy option in the dropdown? The old skill vs new skill stuff is great!

Roostophe Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 (edited) The new youth academy feature is pretty cool at the moment, but it might become even better. http://www.xperteleven.com/viewGlobalMessageN.aspx?threadID=4494111&forumid=34&read=1 Simply, they're planning to bring in a feature that allows you to invest in your youth academy. Every week you pay an investment that will improve the players your youth can produce. But they're going to put it to a public poll first. I'll be happy if they bring this in. My team-building method has always been about developing youngsters. I'd be more than happy to invest tons of wonga if it means an awesome team. Edited July 8, 2011 by Roostophe
Dyson Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Good idea! Look at my oldest youths in my team. Such legends. Didn't realise so much of my team was built on youth players. Almost 3 quarters full. Don't ever leave me, boys.
Roostophe Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 If you want it or don't want it, make sure to vote in the main forum on Monday. I'm voting yes, that's for sure.
Brian Mcoy Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Mcoy hopes that youth academy changes go ahead. Mcoy could finally invest the money that he's been sitting on.
Tales Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 (edited) The idea is great, but it's something that may cost a lot of money and it's not good for teams who are already struggling, especially for teams in intense league. I don't think it's coincidence that I have less than 2 million in the N-E league and over 16 million in the official league without ever writing a press release in the latter. A small increase in the weekly bonus would be nice. I might vote no. K: Goalie F: defender M: Midfield S: Forward Miksed feeling, Hilmo and Leonid could have been a lot better otherwise it looks very good in my opinion. Need to get a good youth soon though, been a while. Just look at the last three. Edited July 8, 2011 by Tales

Tales Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Someone on the forum posted this analysis of the new youth system. doesn't seem worth it and reading through the rest of the thread the no side have me convinced. Haden Posted July 10, 2011 Author Posted July 10, 2011 (edited) Just got a 16 4 Defender from youth academy worth 11.5 mil. Oh yes! Gonna sell as a big cash injection would be good for my club. Anyone wanting to make me a direct offer feel free to do so. He is a Free Kick Specialist and Moody. Edited July 10, 2011 by Haden

The Peeps Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) N-E Lower League - Round Three The results begin to separate the men from the boys as we see trends forming in the Lower League. Peepsters Rovers rise up into 3rd while Fedex falls to 7th with the other teams staying put. Comerade Co-op and Aqui1a All Stars remain in first and second place on 7 points each. Domstercool holds 4th position while Zimmerframe, Bubbles and Fedex take up 5th, 6th and 7th respectively, all tied with a win, loss and draw each. Ganja Farmers take up the 8th spot while two inactive teams rest at the bottom of the table. Flamey's manager has not even been seen since taking the job! Results **Ganja Farmers F.C 0-3 Aqui1a All Stars**** The Farmers had a nightmare game this round conceding two goals within 30 minutes from a free kick and a penalty. With 3 of their players receiving bookings in the game one has to wonder what was going through the Farmers manager's head. Either some real bad luck or some dirty play from Farmers that did not end well. All Stars remain on form, not putting a foot wrong until the 93rd minute where Farmers gained the opportunity to win back some dignity with a penalty that they unfortunately missed. ***Flamey Pompey XI 0-4 The Comerade Co-op**** We should get used to seeing this kind of game from Co-op, even if Flamey's manager had been online to set tactics there may not have been any change in the result. Teamwork seems to be the key at The Co-op, their midfield assisting each of their goal scorers - Vasily Arseniev scores twice and sets up forward, Anton Raskin, who scores a further two goals. Evgeny Patrin received a heavy injury in the 64th minute, the only sign that Flamey were even on the pitch. ****Peepsters Rovers 4-0 Fedex United** Another shutout sees Rovers shoot up into 3rd overall in the table. The report certainly tells a tale in this game as Peepsters are seen to have scored 3 goals in 32 minutes. From that point on Fedex got 3 of their players booked and one sent off. After assuring victory with a 4th goal it seems Rovers were tired of all the attempts on their player's legs and returned fire, seriously injuring Eustace Thellwell of Fedex in the 74th minute. **Complete Domstercool 1-1 All Starz** Domstercool has fallen back on old habits and has not been seen since the 16th of June. Although All Starz had the right idea with their defence, Domstercool managed to break through it and score the first goal of the game. It may have been a mistake for All Starz to play an aggressive game this far from home, 3 of their players get booked before they finally get the equaliser in the 88th minute. ****Zimmerframe FC 0-0 Bubbles FC*** Bubbles appear to be having trouble in their away games this season, a habit they can hopefully break out of before too long. As one of the better teams of last season, they are surely getting frustrated at these results. Once again Zimmerframe proves to have set good tactics, earning 4 manager stars but Bubbles defence proved too hard to break through. Both teams likely to have different feelings about this result as Zimmerframe sits one spot above Bubbles in the table. Most Important Result: Peepsters Rovers 4-0 Fedex United, the only game to change team's positions in the table. Rovers sit in 3rd, a point away from 2nd and 4th. Fedex fall to 8th, level on points with Zimmerframe and Bubbles. Stylish Play: The Commerade Co-op, another surgically precise game from The Co-op. One minor setback in Evgeny Patrin's injury but otherwise a clean game with the goals doing all the talking in the report. Best Player: Scott Page, Aqui1a All Stars, Page bookends Aqui1a's game scoring the first and last goals, with one from a free kick and the other from a penalty. Scott Page proves his right foot is a force to be reckoned with. Edited July 11, 2011 by The Peeps
mike-zim Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Great round up Peeps. You do such a good job. As a result i hope you dont get promoted. I would miss it next season. I thought it was a tough game with bubbles. I play the comrade this week and that will be a whole different ball game!
Nikos9 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 For any lower league VIP'ers (or anyone for that matter) interested (Peeps, Aqui1a) i have a few players on the transfer market and the bidding ends tonight for my midfielder 30-6 Nicholas Aurelius (Freekick, Speed, Cool, Cheat) - worth 162,400 econ and 28-7 forward Haden Forlan (No special attributes) - worth 497,000 econ. They've served me well in my 3 season ascent from the basement to the Elite League and helped me stay there last season but i want to downsize my squad now as i have no money and can't afford to keep training a 20 man squad so feel free to make an offer before midnight (xpert time) if you're interested, Aurelius already has a bid on him but i can accept your offer before the bidding ends if need be.
