So I been picking up quite alot of games recently and with the oncoming of Chrimbo and the few games Ill get then, well I really wont have time to play them all. I have Kid Icarus and SSX On Tour that I have yet to have a go on aswell as this one - Doshin The Giant.

Anyway, last Friday I was just looking to see if there were any decent bargains and what I found was Doshin. I will admit that I did think twice about buying it but that was because Pikmin was there aswell and Id love to pick it up at some point (I have the second) but I opted this time for Doshin because its new to me, although I have played Black and White.

Anyway, at the till the guy mutters something to me and I said What? He repeated but I had to ask him a third time what he was saying. In fact he was asking me if I was buying it for myself or for a child!

I was raging inside.

Why would someone who runs a game shop be so narrow minded like that? I dont think he was trying just to strike up casual conversation as I handed him the cash because he was quite taken aback when I didnt hesitate in saying it was for myself. Then I asked him if he'd played it and he put his head down, fumbled for my change and said no. I was ready to get into a big speel about Nintendo games being about fun and not about the picture on the front of the box but I bit my tongue and left. The encounter did play on my mind the rest of the afternoon though.

Sheesh, the world needs to start thinking again and realise that just because its a big yellow giant doesnt mean its for three year olds to play, who in fact wouldnt have two clues what to do with a console controller. I dont think Ive picked up any FPS' this gen (notice how I dont include Metroid: Prime in the FPS bracket), so sue me. I had GoldenEye, PD and Duke Nukem last gen so its not like Im some poof who cant bare the sight of blood.

Its time to get over the fact that people think that a game needs blood and guts.

Aye, I bluddy hate it. Ignorant people think I'm really immature and babyish for playing Mario Kart, I mean what? They see it is a 3 plus and that is a racing game that doesn't have teh moddage so it makes it a silly game. Argh :@

I agree with you guys but that's just how the world works, I'm happy aslong as there are fellow gamers like me and you that still think the games should be a work of art, and don't judge the book by it's cover...

one day I went to the shopping to buy a memory card, in front of me there was this shop guy selling a PS2 to some parents and saying GC was cheaper but was a console for kids, less powerful and doesn't have any games... then he made a detour and asked me what I wanted while still attending the others, and I said something like "I'd like a memory card for the child's console, as you called it" I was kind of pissed, the guy was like "WTF!?" so he sold me my memory card and the parents took a gamecube instead of a PS2 (I said nothing to them, really).

I was pissed at the narowminded opinion he was giving though.

DOSHIN THE GIANT!!!!

That game has far more potential than they gave it.....If they make another (which I hope they will) there should be more depth and less bore to it.

He should have an arena on SSB.DX ;)

WTF pedrocasilva?!!?....That's more proof these people have no clue what they're on about, what a fanboy.

Yeah, Doshin had alot of cool potential, but it's rather flawed at the moment (but I've still played it for pretty many hours :P it's a very "chill" game)

I started playing it last night, Ive done two days worth of it. Raising and lowering the land is something I needa get the hang of it yet...

Its got me interested though... even though it is incredibly slow! Wheres the run button?!

I hate it when the game clerks try to talk to you, when I bought GoldenEye a few months ago the man was like, "Are you sure? It's really old you know."

That's just not right. I've bought older games than that at my Gamestation, and the bloke serving me didn't say anything like that. We're talking NES games, as well.

Anyway, i haven't come across this prejudice over Nintendo games, so i guess i'm lucky. In fact, i've heard nothing but great things. So, i'm glad that it varies from area to area. Some store clerks really know their stuff. :)

I don't give a shit what the average till monkey thinks. They're paid to scan your item through, put it in a bag and go "NEXT!", and that's the only level I'll engage on them with, with a few minor exceptions.

I went into gamestation, asked for mario paint from the window and he asked me if i wanted lylat wars with it for free. Then he told me to enjoy my game. Simple.

When i boguht pikmin the till gy, i think, was trying to get to buy pikmin 2 but i told him i wanted the first one first. That was in GAME

If some tillmonkey says that to me ill jsut ask if there is some ort of problem ith that or if he is jsut omew sort of sony/Msoft fanboy.. fanman
