It’s so loud Inside anyone facing Kirbys head

With tactics that they should have said!

As they drown in their regrets

They can’t take back the playmaker they never said

Week 2

Mcoys Sons 2-2 Bayern Bru

Mcoys Sons were furious when they lost 2 points and a first win of the season to a lucky Bru side deep into injury time. The Sons played a 3-5-2 formation against the Brus defensive/counter attacking 3-5-2 set up. The Sons struck first as they looked adventurous going forward when Jibl hit a shot in off the post on 21 minutes. 19 year old Alnoudji hit back against the Sons with a header past a flailing Sons goalie. 6 minutes later Rufus curled in a beautiful free kick to give the Sons the lead into the break. Bru had more chances in the 2nd half but the Sons looked by far the superior side. However failing to kill off the game the Sons had to defend one last long ball in the 93rd minute. The captain MacCalman leapt up above Sons heads and headed it straight into the goal. The Sons manager was livid claiming MacCalman had barged his way to a goal and also their was no reason for any injury time as there were no injuries! Bru fans went wild while the Sons will feel it is 2 out of 2 for unlucky results this season.

Roostophe Rovers 1-0 Essex Elites

Fresh off their victory against Dysonism, Rovers won narrowly against the Elites at home. Rovers played a 3-5-2 formation against a standard 4-4-2 from the Elites. The match was a rather dull one with only 4 chances, 2 for each team. It was Rovers who scored the only goal when Mazzoleni in the first half found his way past his marker and sped towards the Elites goalie with the ball. He skillfully sent him the wrong way and the ball went in off the post. The tempo of the match was stifled in part because of a few injuries the most serious of which was a bad one to the Elites veteran playmaker Danny Ling who will be out for most of this month. The Elites played well against an average looking Rovers side but lacked a creative spark or killer instinct to get an equalizer. Rovers keep their momentum while the Elites may look on this game as a lost opportunity.

Happenstance FC 0-2 Haden United

Fellow Nexus members battled against each other as United bounced back from their poor opening game. Happenstance played a 4-4-2 formation against an aggressive 4-3-3 set up played by United. After a poor opening game United fans were not a happy bunch but todays result and style left them with smiles on their faces. The opening half was quite boring, Happenstance tried to push forward but United seemed to have the measure of them. In the 2nd half United decided to really go for the 3 points and it paid off. Mozzini who was in charge of the 3 man midfield found Marconossi who slammed in his first goal of the season with great satisfaction. With a minute to go United were awarded a penalty and last seasons top goal scorer Durov stepped up to put it in the bottom right hand corner. United looked by far the better team and Happenstance will want to look at this result as an early warning for his team.

Battlestar Odwinica 1-0 Silverdale Hotpot

Odwinica with various injury and suspension issues still bested Silverdale at home. Odwinica had a midfielder suspended and another injured for this match and lined up with an unusual 5-2-3 formation against Silverdales possession orientated 4-5-1 set up. Remarkably looking at the formations Odwinica managed to have more possession and more chances! Hudson up front by himself for Silverdale was unable to make any impact against an impressive Odwinica back 5. In what would turn out to be his last game Dinicolantonio scored in the 19th minute when he chested a ball from Oy down and lobbed it past an out of position goalie. Dinicolantonio has been a useful player for Odwinica but he is a manager who emphasizes youth which may be the reason the veteran was put on the transfer market. It is good he did score though as Bello missed a penalty for Odwinica in the 2nd half and the score finished at 1-0. Odwinica will be happy to get 3 points while Silverdale will have to wait for their first win.

Dysonian Wanderers 0-4 Edd Kirby Athletic

The league saw a huge shock result today as newly promoted Athletic decimated current champions Wanderers 4-0 at the Wanderers home ground. Wanderers played an aggressive 3-4-3 against a standard 4-4-2 Athletic set up. Midfielder Saeys leaped up with a great header to give Athletic an early lead. After this Brailey set up Mortimer for a crashing long shot that rocked the back of Wanderers net. Wanderers were in all sorts of trouble by half time but before the whistle blew MacLean curled home a peach of a goal (his first for a couple of seasons) to make it 3-0 to the visitors. Athletic headed into the break with 6 chances to 1 for Wanderers and a 3-0 lead. Wanderers handled Athletic better after the break but a second Mortimer goal via a header this time killed the game off completely. The worst thing was, after Athletics new veteran midfielder Oliver soured his debut by being sent off for an awful two footed tackle, Wanderers could not even capitalize against 10 men to get a consolation goal. For Athletic while Bain is their star player their creative midfield and deadly attack was evident in this game.

Most Important Result – Dysonian Wanderers 0-4 Edd Kirby Athletic, Athletic stun the league with this amazing result.

Turned on Style – Edd Kirby Athletic, 4 goals and 9 chances against Wanderers, wonderful!

Player of the Day – Ger Saeys, Edd Kirby Athletic, Saeys completes a clean sweep for Athletic with a spectacular performance assisting twice and scoring.

Round 3 - EIGHTEEN AND ONE, DEADMAN!

Cubic County 4 - 0 Intergalactico Stars

The 18-match winning streak was brought to an end in this unexpected result.

Most would have expected the new blood to get the three points against the veterans. However, any hopes faded when Vihko opened the scoring on 20.

Inter didn't get a chance on goal in the first half, but made a few in the second.

However, hope began to fade on the 63-minute mark when Nash was taken off injured and replaced by Volkoff, making his first appearance this season.

Two minutes later, and County extended their lead with a breakaway chance: McGreal passed to Harley, who made no mistake and put the ball past Coysh.

McGreal then turned from goalmaker to goalscorer with a quick brace on 83 and 86. His second assisted by Maupas, who wasn't expected to play this round.

An abrupt end to Inter's incredible streak. 18-1. Is that a sign of things to come at WrestleMania XXVII?

Rising Phoenix 4 - 0 Emo Blades

As the nWo suffered defeat, Nexus claimed a thrilling victory, which sees Phoenix rise to the top of the Middle League.

The goals came from the skipper Lorimer, who provided the only goal of the first half. Then added his second to double Phoenix's lead four minutes after the restart.

The second brace was from striker Bolam, who had already assisted Lorimer with his first goal. Bolam then scored his first goal of the season on 73 before finishing the rout on 80.

Emo Blades were dreadful in this one, and this hammering means they've already conceded 10 goals this season. Blades are now favourites for the drop unless they can kickstart their season and get something - just a point could do - against Cubic County on Tuesday.

Eights United 3 - 1 The Sixty-Fourthers

After a poor opening day performance, Eights have bounced back and climb into third place with this result.

Eights peppered The 64ers goal with shots and finally found the net on 20 with a header by Ianuzzi.

Fjellbekk, who was having a good game, was taken off on 32 due to injury and was replaced by Brodal. Brodal then turned into supersub and made it 2-0 just seconds before half-time.

The 64ers pulled one back on the hour mark when Osman struck after a corner. But Eights continued to create chances and restored their two-goal lead with a breakaway chance finished off by Capwell on 74.

AFC ReZs Rabies 2 - 2 Recall United

In their opening fixture last week, Recall United scored a late equaliser to get a share of the spoils.

This week, the shoe was on the other foot.

They ought to have put the game to bed when Deacon (13) and Hollingdale (23) put them 2-0 up, despite the match looking even up to that point. However, ReZs team weren't going to keel over, and captain Hallerstrom became inspiration for their fightback when he scored on 30.

The game remained equal, with equal chances for both teams, but Recall were in the lead. The points looked to be theirs.

But, in the 93rd minute. A last-gasp chance for Rabies. Hallerstrom passed to Messiah and Messiah took the shot. Bowling could do little to stop it and ReZs team picked up a late, late point.

The game was split down the line. A draw was the best result. Recall will be gutted about the late goal, but must regroup and make sure this doesn't happen again.

Hammerboys FC 3 - 2 Madpool

Madpool were looking strong going against a team predicted to struggle this season. But one should always be wary of away fixtures.

It was a shock when the home side scored first, a shot after a corner by Blanco on 24. But, to the critics, normal service resumed when Madpool were awarded a free-kick and scored with the set-piece two minutes later. Hadley being set-up by Trainer.

All square going into the break with few chances in that half. But more was to come in the second period.

Hammerboys made seven chances in this half. It was one chance on 69 where they retained the lead, with Myhill's head finding Lilley's cross and the ball finding the net.

Another free-kick was awarded to Madpool on 80, and Trainer set up Carey to put Madpool level again.

However, it was Hammerboys' turn to respond quickly, and Myhill scored again with another header two minutes later. Madpool couldn't find a way back, and suffered their first defeat of the season.

Most Important Result - Cubic County 4 - 0 Intergalactico Stars. The 18-match winning streak is dead.

Turned on the Style - Rising Phoenix. Good way to bounce back from last round's defeat and perch on the top spot of the league.

Player of the Day - Dougie McGreal (Cubic County). Two goals and one assist means McGreal is mostly responsible for Inter's defeat.

I guess that depends on how well the team and the individual players perform. Sometimes drop a little, sometimes a lot. But how often and how drastic are we talking about?

The small dots is the average form. Very important to keep it high, the younger the player the higher it should be.

Bad performance for my 100th match. Another away match on Friday, should win that one.

Poor Emo...

Well, not all too drastic, really. I was just a bit surprised by it.

My team can do better they just aren't performing! Bah!

Still a 1-1 draw is nothing to be ashamed of against Haden!

Mcoy's not having a good run at the moment. Mcoy is not sure If It's down to being unlucky, better opponents or bad tactics.

Mcoy still isn't too worried about his position at the moment though, even if he is on seven games without a win. Mcoy is a hell of a manager though and Mcoy dosen't have to worry about trying until the second half of the season.

We can't seem to best each other at the moment can we!

Your side has really come on I think you are better now than when you were as champions a few seasons back.

To Mcoy, Nexus and everyone else in the league knows you are a sleeping giant ready to wake. Don't give up!

Away victory for me. It will be a difficult home match on Tuesday but hopefully I will jump into promotion zone with a win.

My dev values are better than I expected, five players with 10 or more. Also got five players with 4 or less, but we are not talking about that.

Round 3

In a league where everyone will kick and scream

You play different formations and come to the same conclusion every time

Time to realise that transfer didn't suit the team

There was always a question hanging over you

Other teams looking down from a hot air balloon with a rusty nail

Your looking over your shoulder and setting sail

Haden United 2-0 Mcoys Sons

It was another all Nexus affair for United and another they won 2-0. United played an aggressive 4-3-3 against the Sons 4-4-2 formation. The first half was very quiet with the Sons having the only chance of the entire half. However in the 2nd half the momentum swung drastically to United with 5 chances to 0. This was intensified when Sons captain Heckinbottom was taken off injured. With 10 minutes to go United talisman Marconossi made the breakthrough volleying in a cross from a corner to make it 1-0. A direct Durov free kick with 4 minutes to go sealed the points. It was an important and deserved win for United while the Sons really need to kick start their season quickly.

Roostophe Rovers 1-2 Edd Kirby Athletic

With this result both Dysonism and Rovers have now fallen to Athletic in home games in an amazing turn of events. Rovers played a 4-4-2 which Athletic also adopted, the fact that they had the same formation makes this win even more remarkable. Things started off well for Rovers as Fowler pinged in a close range shot after 3 minutes to make it 1-0 to the home side. On 9 minutes Digby was injured and subbed for a youth causing Rovers to lose some experience in midfield. However they still had more possession and went into the break with the lead. After the break a Saeys corner kick was toe poked in by 18 year old forward Wiegersma who celebrated wildly. With minutes left to go Athletic looked the more likely to score and did!The captain Tynan latched onto a set piece delivery, chested it down and volleyed it home emphatically to make it 2-1 to the visitors. The traveling support let loose a huge roar, 3 wins out of 3! Rovers looked shell shocked for Athletic the dream carries on.

Happenstance FC 1-1 Battlestar Odwinica

Happenstance and Odwinica had a draw that saw Odwinica dominate chances and possession. Happenstance played a cautious 5-3-2 against a normal looking 4-4-2 for Odwinica. For the majority of the game Odwinicas 4 man midfield dominated possession and chances against a poor looking 3 man set up for Happenstance. Happenstance held out against Odwinica pressure as Odwinicas young forwards struggled against 5 defenders. However after 8 chances Odwinica found a breakthrough via a Howarth direct free kick, Odwinicas lack of goal scoring forwards is a concern it would seem. However they seemed to have sealed the win until the youth forward Dibbler headed a Melton cross in off the bar. The home crowd let out a huge cheer as Happenstance secured their first point of the season, for Odwinica the game was their's for the taking if they would have had the forwards to convert it.

Bayern Bru 2-2 Essex Elites

It has been 6 meetings since Bru beat the Elites in a game and the Elites kept the record going in a dramatic game that ended in a draw. Bru played 4-4-2 against an aggressive 4-3-3 Elites set up, Bru looked very impressive in the first half notching up 5 chances but failed to convert any. 13 minutes after the restart youth striker Alnoudji wrapped his foot around the ball perfectly to send it shooting into the right hand corner and give Bru the lead. 7 minutes later Heinze combined with MacCalman floating a ball in for him to head home. However Elites responded instantly, Sharpe crossed in a corner that Fakaj volleyed home so powerfully it nearly burst out the other side of the net. The momentum was on Elites side now as Bru retreated from attacking, with 7 minutes left Bru defender Darbyshire was judged to have held up play and given a 2nd yellow card. The Bru bench went mental, amidst the chaos Sharpe ran down the sideline crossed the ball in for Stubbs to head past a statue like Bru goalie. On balance the result was a fair one but Bru will be gutted they lost out on a famous victory agianst their biggest rivals. The Elites will look forward to the return game after this drama!

Silverdale Hotpot 1-3 Dysonian Wanderers

Silverdale face another setback as they lost to a resurgent Wanderers, Silverdale played 4-4-2 against Wanderers possession orientated 3-5-2 set up. The first half was a temperamental one with 5 yellow cards an injury to Silverdales best defender and a penalty for the Wanderers that Dunwell blasted in. It wasn't all bad for Silverdale, as Sidwell linked up to set up Jerome for a tap in just before half time to make it 1-1. However with the earlier mention of Hardings Silverdales best defender having to come off the pitch, Wanderers had the advantage in the 2nd half. Their defense and midfield were playing their socks off and when Boland scored via a header in the 67th minute it seemed to be game over for Silverdale. The under pressure Silverdale defense then scored an own goal quite literally when Morrow put the ball in his own net with a wayward header. Silverdale were unlucky that Hardings got injured but Wanderers looked very impressive and deserved the win.

Most Important Result – Roostophe Rovers 1-2 Edd Kirby Athletic, this team just doesn't stop shocking the report!

Turned on Style – Haden United, looked devastating in attack.

Player of the Day – Eliot Sharpe, Essex Elites with his 2 assists he ensured his teams unbeaten streak against Bru carries on.

I am on holiday atm so have a little more time on my hands. If any team wants to do an interview any league PM me. Roostophe feel free to do some of your own if you want/have time if not dw thanks for the great reports!

Mcoy vs Edd Kirby next Tuesday.

Eleven games ago Mcoy decided to stop winning when he joined the Nexus. Mcoy got fed up of sitting around and losing all his games, Mcoy's told Haden to go shove it. Mcoy is back to his old ways and he's going to raise more hell then he's ever raised in his life.

Mcoy remembers the last few times he went one on one with Edd. Mcoy whipped his arse not once but twice (actually 4 times). Edd Kirby has reached the top league but the one thing he hasn't done is whopped Brian Mcoy's black arse in the championship.

Mcoy is on a bad run, can Edd break the Jynx and put Mcoy away for good?
