Yeah I decided the only way to justify it was to get the cheapest options, cheapest delivery, mixed vendors, no bundle, amazon warehouse... hopefully it'll arrive Monday :) Just need to appreciate the first-worldiness of my problem and and play one of the other titles in my back-catalogue.

I looked around a bit, and the largest games seemed to be about 3.3 GB.

Sounds impressive. My target would be a 32GB memory card but if I can't find a good deal/afford it then I'll settle with 16GB.

How many digital retail games do you have on your Vita?

I only have three retail games installed, but I have a fair amount of PSN and PSP games as well, and I'm sure PS+ will cause my memory card to fill up eventually. That's a long way off, though.

I don't really mind deleting games on my PS3, but for some reason I want as much of my gaming library available at all times on handhelds. I guess it's the whole pick-up-and-play thing.

I really want a Vita! I just know as soon as I get one it will get a price reduction, so I'm trying to wait it out!

Mainly for THIS:

Got my Vita today, system is in very nearly perfect condition although wasn't expecting it to come without any box at all, and it was pre-owned as opposed to ex-display (had to format to unlink an account) but it really was a great price for what I got. Hopefully the battery life is good.

No Vita games to play til Monday, but I'm currently streaming FFVII from my PS3 and it works great :D I'll try Shadows of the Colossus next... which I have shockingly never played.

My 16 gig card from eBay is 2 days late and even if I got that 32GB card above (which is a big "even if" since it's big on HUKD and there are 10 left), it currently reads "may take an additional 2 days to deliver", with no prime/next-day offering.

Starting to consider just returning the flippin' console, feeling like it ain't meant to be :heh:

Edit: to add to this, I checked the CEX site and they had a 16GB in my local store, so I parked up at the station on my way home, jogged there (30 mins free parking, I really am being tight here) and then found out they didn't have it in after all. After searching all the micro SDs and M2s, their best guess was that someone bought an 8GB and through some worldly injustice got a 16GB one by accident.

Are we meant to get Velocity Ultra today?

So far mostly been playing Gravity Rush and loving it :)

Somehow seems I didn't "purchase" Disgaea 3 or MGS HD Collection :/ I'm sure I clicked on everything I could for the last few months but now I can't find them in my download or transaction lists, d'oh.

March-April apparently - actually it might've been in North America only which would explain why I never clicked it :D

Should I play any older Persona games before 4?

P3 and P4 are the two really good ones. If you like P4 you'll like P3, although you'll feel like the battle system has regressed a bit if you go back to 3 after 4. They're standalone in terms of story though.

Start with the original Persona and work your way up.

I'm just kidding, start with Persona 4.

As for Disgaea 3, it was released on PS+ in the US a couple of months back, and when asked if it would make it to PS+ in Europe, they said it might be tricky because it's not available on PSN everywhere.

Persona 4 Arena is the only one that is really linked to them, mainly with 4 but characters from 3 do appear. You do get nods and cameos though in the games. P4 has a couple of characters from 3 in it and I never saw it myself but apparently the PSP version of 3 had someone from 4.

Unless they've added more cameos in Golden, the only Persona 3 cameo in Persona 4 is Chihiro, who's a minor social link character and you won't miss much by not knowing who she is.

Persona 3 Portable has a cameo from a younger Yukiko if you play as the female protagonist. If you play through the game with the male protagonist, you have to settle for a cameo from Noriko Kashiwagi, who's a teacher and minor character in Persona 4.

And yes, Arena connects both games (but with the focus on the Persona 4 cast), but that's pretty irrelevant, since it was released after Persona 4 anyway.

Edit: This is really uninteresting, just play Persona 4.

The next time a Vita game wants me to hold up the rear camera to a bright light, I will throw my Vita in the toilet and set fire to it.

The light bulbs in my house aren't bright enough for those. I have to turn on my phone's flash lights for the thing to work.
