jayseven Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I won't be watching it on terrestrial, so I'll probably forget to watch some episodes at some point. Having said that, the only shows I'm constantly ZOMG about are supernatural, house and ultimate fighter, so I'd hardly say I'm after high-art right now :P
Murr Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Well watched the 1st 2 episodes on Friday, It was all right i guess. I think i need to watch them both again though properly cause i was watching but at the same time talking to other half, it wasnt complete concentration on it.
Jon Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 So I finally got round to watching this when it was on TV on Friday and I quite liked it. Some good characters in it, nice to see Dr Kerry Weaver Laura Innes back on tv. It would be nice if they could reign in the time changes a bit, the poor characters must have great difficulty telling what day they're in sometimes.
jayseven Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Yeah that's got to have been the main complaint I've heard from everyone. I had to reassure my dad that the first episode has the worst of it, which it does... I guess all that happens is that in my head it goes from "2 weeks ago" to "the holiday bit" and "13 months ago" to "when the president got elected and they were still in prison and stuff." my dad argues that there's no reason why the show wouldn't work if it was just shown chronologically. But then he doesn't like being on the edge of his seat having to spend his brain power on just keeping up. I don't mind it.

In the end it all kind of wrapped up but the one bit I either didn't, didn't see or wasn't explained was Who were the people responsible for kidnapping the daughter/girlfriend? Please excuse me if I was being thick and it was clearly explained.
jayseven Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I'm up to episode 4/5 so I can't remember what occurs in what episode. Where you at? Essentially they're "the others" that survived the 40's plane crash and weren't imprisoned. Whether the hot brunette is also one of them is hard to say - her multiple identities would suggest that she is. The 'hotel guard' who stabbed that bloke in the hotel room is seen talking to that male 'leader' of the non-prisoned "others" at some point. He's just unfortunate to have a generic face that you can't tell if he's a main character or not. As to why they kidnapped the girl... To make her dad pilot the plane... but then the male 'leander' of the non-prisoned "others" seemed to tell the male CIA "other" that he HAD to stop the plane, and seemed annoyed that they had to "use all their resources" to zap the plane away. So essentially... I guess I dunno yet :P I'm still thinking there's a third group of people that are, most likely, alternative "others" that have an agenda similar to Walternate in Fringe (I can't remember if you watch that). I'm not sure of anything, and I doubt I will be for a while! Fine with me.

Dan_Dare Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I watched the first ep- entertaining stuff and I liked the chrono-hopping structure. It's light though, and sticking with it will require a bit more meat on the bones. Fun, though. When is it on C4 again?

Retro_Link Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Really enjoyed the third episode. It REALLY kicked up a gear for me when the officers you thought had been sent there to collect Sean, actually turned out to be working for the other 'agency'. The scene that went on between the 'non-terrestrial' released to tell all he knows, and his girlfriend was also a bit of a shocker. The ending was also pretty good, though I think I kinda may have expected it. Though what's with the intro! it's like something out of The Apprentice USA, or The Hustle or something! ReZourceman Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 Yeah the intro is fucking shit. Like...worst intro ever territory. Almost as bad as No Ordinary Family (why is no one else watching, its HUGELY entertaining) Its not on this week, I was upset to learn this morning. Retro...you got Sky/be tuning into The Walking Dead on Friday, right?

Retro...you got Sky/be tuning into The Walking Dead on Friday, right? Yeah, the intro and music just seems rediculously out of place atm, given the theme/vibe the shows given off so far. Isn't it, why's that? I know The Million Pound Drop starts again on Friday, but surely that doesn't warrant no episode at all! I thought you'd seen past Ep.3 however, during your stint in America, no? I do not have Sky unfortunately.

How....how are you going to see The Walking Dead......?
ReZourceman Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Who saw the latest episode? The corn field bit was laughably bad.
ReZourceman Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 Anyone else still watching? I decided to stick with it as it wasn't "staggeringly" bad, and some of the characters piqued my interest. I'm upto the (not the latest episode) but the one before I think. Definitely been on a (admittedly very small) upswing since its (come back from its break). The chick who causes me to break out in boners is back and she is totally hot as usual. The dynamic between here and main-dude is cool I guess, and they have some of the better dialogue....the "I'm this way because I came out this way" was kind of amazing/awesome actually. Overall its pretty meh though. I'll stick to see the end of season 1 and hopefully its clear they're going to get cancelled so they can wrap up the story nicely.
jayseven Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I think I managed teh first 6 episodes, but it didn't take off quick enough for me. Probably a show I'll hit up when it's completed.
ReZourceman Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Thats awesome ukdvder. What is your favourite episode?
ReZourceman Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Disgusted. The finale was awesome, and the last 60 seconds were absolutely mind blowing.
Jon Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Disgusted. The finale was awesome, and the last 60 seconds were absolutely mind blowing. I stopped watching after it's mid season break in the UK. I got to the episode with ending of the room full of little girls.
ReZourceman Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 I stopped watching after it's mid season break in the UK. I got to the episode with ending of the room full of little girls. Yeah it was still pretty shit then. It really picked up towards the end, and the second half of the season was pretty good. I am really glad I stuck with it, and I so....so hope we get a season two. Although you've missed a lot. But yeah. Basically, Sophias attempt to unleash a virus is thwarted, but then they teleport their planet into our solar system.
Tales Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 But they haven't been aired? At least according to IMDB so I read your spoiler
ReZourceman Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Finale was yesterday in America bro. But they haven't been aired? At least according to IMDB so I read your spoiler Although if you've been watching it, there are still several surprises for you. Including one pretty major thing which is the absolute final shot/scene.
Shorty Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Everything you like gets canned Rez. Do me a favour, stop watching things I like, you're a curse.
