ReZourceman Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 YES! It is a four part drama series, sequel to the (amazing) movie.
mcj metroid Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 OH ok I had no idea in that case will totally be checking this out
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Movie starts in about 5 mins on Channel Four if anyone is interested.
Ellmeister Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Well the advert kind of ruins the film for me. Milky doesn't die! I thought he died? Should be good though, cracking film.
Platty Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Will defo be watching. Huge fan of the movie which is on right now by the way on channel 4. At first I was a bit gutted 86' is a tv series rather than a new film but then I realised it's better as it's gonna be longer than a sequel film. The trailers are awesome. Can't wait!
ReZourceman Posted September 7, 2010 Author Posted September 7, 2010 Well the advert kind of ruins the film for me. Milky doesn't die! I thought he died? Should be good though, cracking film. Huh? He doesn't in the film.
MoogleViper Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Well the advert kind of ruins the film for me. Milky doesn't die! I thought he died? Should be good though, cracking film. In the film at the end when Shaun is talking to his mother she says that he's going to be alright.
Ellmeister Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 In the film at the end when Shaun is talking to his mother she says that he's going to be alright. O.o My apologies I'm just an idiot then.
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Well that's part one done. Didn't feel as much really happened. I'm feeling the set up though.
flameboy Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 This is england is one of those films I've always meant to watch and never got round to....kinda missed the boat with the series as a result! Posted from my BlackBerry using BerryBlab
Wesley Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 You can always quickly watch the film, this on 4oD and then you're caught up. The first episode was ace! I forgot how loveable Woody and Lol were.
ReZourceman Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 Holy shit that was awesome! Wasn't expecting it to be that good.
LegoMan1031 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 I only watched the film the other day and thought it was pretty good. Watched the first ep today as had it on record. That kid grown up doesn't seem as funny and cool now Anyway i enjoyed it, nothing amazing but good.
Wesley Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I don't think he would be as funny and cool though...
Rummy Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Milky's fate was left half unsaid in the film, I believe Shane Meadows said he did that on purpose. I too, wondered whether he died and thought that he had but was never sure, either way, top film. Also, top show! Quite enjoyed the first episode, looking forward to next week's. It felt a bit slow in places, but I guess it's just getting the pacing and setting right as it's the first episode. Interested to see what happens with everyone.

LegoMan1031 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 When they were over his body i thought he was dead. But then bit later when she was talking with the lad she said "he is going to be ok". Now to be honest i took that as she was trying trying to make him feel better considering his age and that he had actually died. Obviously i assumed wrong!
Wesley Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 From what I remember I took it as he was badly beaten but alive. Maybe brain damage and stuff.
Rummy Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 When they were over his body i thought he was dead. But then bit later when she was talking with the lad she said "he is going to be ok". Now to be honest i took that as she was trying trying to make him feel better considering his age and that he had actually died. Obviously i assumed wrong! I took it the same as this, just a mother comforting her young child who's just had a rather traumatic experience. Nice to see he's still alive though. Going to be interesting what happens when Combo reappears, though.
Ellmeister Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I've forgotten what happened in some parts of the movie, going to have to read up on that. Does anyone else think that the girl who likes Sean (is it Sean?) looks like a mannequin? Just me?
dwarf Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 ^Lol Daym. I thought it started at 10.45 for some reason. Will 4oD this soon. Shame Channel 4 take ages to put stuff on there most of the time.
