Emerald Emblem Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Maybe it's so authentic that the Hispania's stalled at the end of the pit lane. With Petrov on pole, I doubt it's that authentic.
Nolan Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Wonder if dry lines start to develop and you can really feel a handling difference on and off it?... should do if they have weather changing mid race. I know in Dirt 2 and I think Grid hitting puddles you certainly feel the change in handling. I'd expect something similar out of this.
Will Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Looks awesome, definite day one purchase for me - do we have much of an idea on when its out?
Retro_Link Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Looks awesome' date=' definite day one purchase for me - do we have much of an idea on when its out?[/quote']September 24th in Europe!
gaggle64 Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 Wonder if dry lines start to develop and you can really feel a handling difference on and off it?... should do if they have weather changing mid race. Yes. Yes they do. More than just a visual affect, the dynamic weather system in F1 2010 is an integral part of the game’s Active Track technology. This system means that the track is fully aware of how much grip, water, rubber, dust or marbles there is for every 30cm² of track surface, allowing players to see and take advantage of realistic drying lines during wet races as cars displace water from the racing line in real time.
Will Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 September 24th in Europe! Great! Pre-ordered and added to my tracker.
Emerald Emblem Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Will have to play online sometime when it's released, so who plans on getting straight into a top established team in career mode? Who will join a midfield team and who in a new team? I think maybe start in a Lotus or Williams.
gaggle64 Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) Here's the fifth and final dev diary, complete with 2010-spec cars running about. I hope this is as awesome as it looks, I so desperately want it to be. Edited August 3, 2010 by gaggle64
Retro_Link Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Yeah I just watched this, looks brilliant. Not sure if the whole media side as explained in that video is going a little ott, but depends how it's done... will you select press conference answers from a list of posibilities, how often will the AI ask you same questions etc... will depend how fresh and engaging that side of it is. Canada FTW!!
gaggle64 Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 I'm really looking forward to see how it comes off, it's a really interesting attempt at making the season/career mode more then just a series of races. Wouldn't be surprised to see something like it start cropping up in other sports franchises.
gaggle64 Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 In case you weren't already aware, there's a brand new and vereh, vereh tasty exclusive preview trailer of what appears to be the near-finished product on the official F1 website. Also, screen shots! Most drool worthy I must say.
Retro_Link Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Those screens are nothing short of orgasmic!
Will Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 It's looking so so good. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it. I reckon this could well end up being my favourites game of the year if the gameplay lives up to the current look.
Emerald Emblem Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I saw second hand F1 Championship edition, so tempted but this is too near release so it would be pointless.
MadDog Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I saw second hand F1 Championship edition, so tempted but this is too near release so it would be pointless. How much? It was £25 in game, which is alot for a launch title. Preowned aswell.

Emerald Emblem Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 those screenshots are stunning. really looking forward to this. any news on a demo for it on live? There will not be a demo: http://community.codemasters.com/forum/f1-2010-game-1316/401373-no-demo-f1-2010-confirmed.html Something about the many layers of licenses the game has.
gaggle64 Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 A nice, fat, HD version of the F1.com trailer is now on Youtube, direct from the source. For your pleasure & convenience:
Emerald Emblem Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I wonder how advanced the crash physics are though.
gaggle64 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) In case you haven't already noticed Gamescom has been going in Germany where Codemasters having showing off a near-finished build of the game and there is handy-cam footage of it up the wazoo, the best of which is being posted in a single handy thread on the community forums. Also, here's game play footage of the Korea GP circuit. That's THE KOREA GP CIRCUIT, real-life F1 fans. Edited August 20, 2010 by gaggle64
Retro_Link Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Thanks!! From that, Korea looks like a decidedly uninspiring circuit!... wasn't impressed! And what's with all the cranes in the background... was that in reference to it still being a building site come the GP this year or something? As far as I know it's not built around another shipping yard (ala Valencia)... is it?... had better not be! Game looks great though... dishing out penalties for causing collisions! After having a go on the Renault simulator the other day, which has a very similar feel to this... I'd be very tempted to get a steering wheel and pedals setup!

You went to that Renault factory day?!?! Lucky sh*t.
