I will lol my face off if my 360 copy arrives tomorrow morning with me not having contributed anything to this crazy marketing scam scheme.

I'm not sure why but I thought you meant an actual real life portal. :heh:

Now I'm sad.

I wonder what it all means. (The GLaDOS thing)

EDIT: Wow, didn't notice the potatoes were sky rocketing downward. Cool.

Played it for an hour. So far, so bloody enjoyable.

Going to pace myself a bit. (I wouldn't normally but I have essays to write. :\ )

I've always felt that comparisons between PS3/360 builds of games were too minute to really mater at all. The important difference are the features. Obviously 360 owners get boned this time.

There's no way the 360 version looks like that. That looks like a 640x480 PC game from 1998.

I'm not saying the PS3 version doesn't look better, there's no doubt that Valve have gone out of their way to make the PS3 version the must-have version, but those screenshots are poor representations.

So my 360 copy didn't arrive yet :heh: (not surprised)

Is it bad that I'm really tempted to download the PC version and then return the 360 version when it arrives :blank:

Edit: Just realised the 360 version has local co-op, so scrap that, I'll wait :D

One thing I have to say though... I have noticed that there are a couple of jarring elements in the Source engine.

The animation, of myself I caught in a Portal, were a bit... naff...

And some water effects were just... bad.

It doesn't ruin it or anything and I wish I didn't notice it.

But I did.

Annoying.

I was going to comment on how it's pointless to argue about whether the PS3 or 360 version of Portal 2 is better since clearly the PC version is the real winner here, but local co-op? That changes everything. :blank:

With the PS3 version you can also:

- Play with players on PC/Mac.

- Get extra content/DLC at the same time as PC/Mac.

- Play it on a PC.

Presuming you don't have any friends.

Arguments why the PS3 version is superior: it lets you play the PC version. :heh:

I'd forgotten that you can play co-op between the PS3 and PC, but it's a shame that it apparently requires you to get two copies of the game, rather than using the free PC version you get if you buy it on the PS3 (or at least that's what my brother tells me). That kind of ruins the point for me.

I've also been having huge issues with getting my PS3 online since a firmware update last year, but that's another issue entirely.
