MATtheHAT Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 @ Hat: I'd be tempted with the DLC if I still had the game and my character save data. Sos br0. Buy it again? Its about £15 in GAME/Gamestation/HMV. (Anyway, haven't you deleted me from your friends list?)
Daft Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 I bought the last DLC but haven't played it. Lag was bad (read: unplayable) on this and my connection is good.
dwarf Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Uhm. Yeah, uhh. Yeah. I basically keep people who I see online regularly in games. I would deffo had readded you for the Borderlander Psycho sessions.
ViPeR Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 No one downloaded the new DLC? I'm wondering where the shit this new level cap is...
Shorty Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Meh, think my love of Borderlands has expired. I downloaded all the other DLC, but there's just no real urge to continue now. I don't need guns any better than my current one, and the game's main ending was so disappointing nothing can really make up for that. In fact, we never finished the previous DLC...
dwarf Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Turns out I still have my level 50 character data so... Utterly tempting. Wouldn't know which duulc to buy though, seeing as one raises cap to 60, this one goes to 70. Do you need both? Is it worth buying both for their expansionisms? It's just that buying the game and some duulc is expensive, but seeing my character, and the awesome weapons, is quite a draw. Hmmm. Vegas > Mag > Borderlands is my priority list right now. But as Christmas approaches who knows what's gonna change. I suspect impulse decisions are on the way.
Deathjam Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 The latest dlc doesnt actually raise the cap. The raise is coming in a patch mid october I believe.
ViPeR Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 The latest dlc doesnt actually raise the cap. The raise is coming in a patch mid october I believe. No point in playing the DLC I just downloaded until then really. Don't understand why they can't just raise it now.
flameboy Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 No point in playing the DLC I just downloaded until then really. Don't understand why they can't just raise it now. balancing issues? bug testing I dunno..
Goafer Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Mega resurrection. Happenstance and I have started playing this again. Anyone care to join us? We'll probably be playing tomorrow evening. We're both at Lvl9 IIRC.
flameboy Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Mega resurrection. Happenstance and I have started playing this again. Anyone care to join us? We'll probably be playing tomorrow evening. We're both at Lvl9 IIRC. I would if it wasn't for my lack of PS3 at the moment
Cookyman Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Mega resurrection. Happenstance and I have started playing this again. Anyone care to join us? We'll probably be playing tomorrow evening. We're both at Lvl9 IIRC. I'd love to join if your playing it on the PS3.
MATtheHAT Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I'd love to go through this again, start again with the Siren or Tank. So I could make up the 4th team member.
Goafer Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 So tonight for a bit of a Borderlands session? Anyone got a particular time in mind?
Happenstance Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Had a good time on the game tonight, despite Cooky joining as a level 1 but at least you levelled up quickly.
Goafer Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I kind of liked levelling Cooky. Added a nice level of challenge. Plus resurrecting people made me feel like a pro medic. Kept running out of ammo though in the "safehouse" bit. Never completely ran out though. Lowest I got was 1bout 20 or so bullets for my last gun.
Happenstance Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I ran out for all my weapons quite a few times, it wasnt until I got a rifle that I could use some of the other ammo I had stocked up. On the plus side id been levelling my melee attack so it was at least a bit helpful.
Sméagol Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 (edited) I want to mention I finally got this in the weekend deal (still available obviously), so if there are any patient gamers who want to co-op with a newbie in the coming weeks, I’m game. That said, 12 Gig will take a while for me to download, so I won’t be able to try this out tonight probably . Oh and I got the Goty edition, so all DLC available. Edit: To clarify, I’m playing on PC. 3 Gigabytes down, 9 more to go . Edited August 28, 2011 by Sméagol
Sméagol Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Why? Does the DLC suck? Or are they genuinely hilarious?
Dan_Dare Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I think it was a self declared GOTY. It wasn't that highly rated at review I don't think. But don't worry, the DLC is tops. Collectively, they're actually a better effort than the main game I reckon. Except Moxxi, which is just a naff arena thing. The actual story ones (Dr.Ned, General Knoxx and Claptrap's Robot Revolution are brilliantly done, though.
The Bard Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I imagine Mad Moxxi would be a hella fun with some friends. Unfortunately, I got about an hour and a half into it by myself, quit out, and then realised that the shit doesn't save. Fuuuuuu
