Haden Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 DuDs Baggies 3-0 The Adorable Vikings DuDs Baggies surged into the promotion zone with an impressive win against the Vikings. The young midfielder Lyall was the Baggies captain and had a great game. He whipped in a free kick for it to be struck in by Standen who had handed over his free kick duty. Elliot blasted a goal in after 47 minutes to seal the game, while Lyall floated in another free kick that was volleyed in to give the Baggies the win. A win that puts them into the promotion zone via goal difference. Tellstorm 0-2 Mcoys Sons Mcoys Sons fielded a solid 4-4-2 formation and gained a victory that gives them a great mid season base for winning the title. The win was achieved with a great performance by their midfield especially Heckinbottom who set up the first goal by flicking it up into the box for Harris to head in. The Sons had less possession but more chances and hit Tellstorm on the break to finish the game off just before the half ended. Harris drove with strength past two defenders and wrong footed the goalie to score his 10th goal of the season and give the Sons the victory. Battlestar Odwinica 2-0 Jaffa Munchers A clash between two promotion hunters who were chasing after the game early on. Neither could break the deadlock in the first half but a couple of yellow cards and a injury showed that the stakes were high. Just as the 1st half resumed Odwinica were awarded a free kick, Collin passed the ball to the side of the wall were a running Collin blasted it into the back of the net. Moments later Munchers striker Gasbo was injured and to compound their misery Odwinica captain Gullian who was having a superb match controlling midfield, curled in a cracking long shot. At 94 minutes the Munchers knew it wasn't their day when the captain Molhov blasted a shot above the bar. First blood to Odwinica rematch on Friday is their room for both these teams to be promoted? Complete Domstercool 3-1 Recall United United went into this match as the underdogs but star player Hollingdale headed in an early goal to give United fans hope of an upset. However Domstercool's young hope Siddall headed a goal in of his own followed by toe poke by Rodwell to send Domstercool into the lead. Domstercool's midfield dominated the 2nd half seeming very much in sync and dominated possession with over 60% of it. Siddall who had a game that has raised his profile considerably headed another goal in at 76 minutes to kill the game off and keep Domstercool's promotion hopes alive. The return fixture will be very interesting United will have to get a draw at least to keep in promotion contention. Analysis Most Important Result: Battlestar Odwinica 2-0 Jaffas Munchers, lots of important results but Odwinica has the momentum and beat a side that many thought would not leave the promotion zone once they had entered it. The return leg will be one that many in the league will watch. Turned on the Style Award: Complete Domstercool, great possession and a style that doesn't always deliver results but is very effective at killing off matches when it does. Player of the Day: Complete Domstercool, Ross Siddall, the 22 year old inspired his team and performed superbly he will be one to watch in the future if he gets the training he needs.
jayseven Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Lol. Just got freaked teh fuck OUT when I went on x11 and it said the next game was tomorrow... then I remembered their crazy european hour-ahead stuff. Pheew.
DuD Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 That time zone thing always gets me too. I missed setting tactics during my first season due to it. Crai-sheee sweedies.
Haden Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) More Xpert News from Nowhere I was thinking of posting a music video for each league making the Premier the 90s 00s league the Champ 80s 70s and Division 1 60s 50s. If people are tired of an extra thing to scroll through just tell me to stfu and I won't do it I was just getting a bit bored of doing the theme tunes and thought this might be fun. AFC Rez Rabies 0-3 Essex Elites Rabies went in to this game knowing a win would take him out of the relegation zone. However things the Elites started the game well with a 3-5-2 formation that dominated the midfield. Hooke who helped dominate the midfield curled in a cross that Marples headed in. Rabies who had already had two yellow cards given against them gave away a penalty which Canham slotted in. 2 minutes later young defender Carmont was sent off for a very nasty looking professional foul. The Elites locked down the game in the 2nd half and finished it off as Brammer who had helped repel all Rabies attacks shot in a ferocious free kick. This was a masasive win for the Elites who moved to 2nd, truly the surprise package of the season. For the Rabies this was a missed opportunity and they badly need to get something out of the return leg. Dysonism F.C 2-3 Roostophe Rovers Dysonism vs Rovers games are usually high scoring exciting affairs and this was no different. Dysonism went on the attack with a 3-4-3 formation while Rovers played a balanced 4-4-2. Dysonism were in trouble early on as their striker Boland was injured, Monington had a superb game and slid in for a scrappy corner ball to open the scoring. Dysonism's own star Stenholm was not to be upstaged by lobbing the Rovers goalie who he saw off his line. However as the game restarted Rovers pushed back against Dysonism's attack and Bond hit in a half volley from a cross sent in by Mongington, who then scored a goal of his own with a header into the corner of the net. Rovers began to dominate possession and when Dysonism's reply did come a screamer of a goal by Twigg it was to late. A great game and huge momentum for Rovers to make a title push. Cube FC 0-0 Emo Blades Cube FC have in many circles been a team condemned to relegation for a couple of games and this game confirmed it. However Blades still have a chance and will be annoyed they failed to gain 3 points from this game. Blades dominated possession in both halves but created less chances than Cube. Blades midfielders and forwards performed adequately or at times in Arreola's case on his debut game as striker below expectations. Zeca gave no repeat of last games heroics. Ashby and Maupas performed below par for Cube but their defense did well. All in all a quiet match with neither side hitting their stride. The Sixty Fourthers 2-1 Haden United A crucial game in which the 64ths edged out an important victory. Both teams played 4-4-2 and United's midfield seemed to have the edge gaining more possession. However a Kamal goal by 64ths put them in the lead. After the break United struck back as Calcone blasted one in. The game look set to be a draw tipping the advantage to United in the title race. However club legend and captian Qonhiz headed one past United's goalie to send the home crowd into rapture. Only his 4th goal in 124 games and what a time to score it! Crucial game for the 64's who now are back as championship favorites while United are under pressure to start performing well on a regular basis. Analysis Most Important Result: AFC Rez Rabies 0-3 Essex Elites. Every result was important but this one stuck out as pretty important. Elites were only a header in extra time away from being top of the league. They are the team that keeps on punching way above their weight. Turned on the Style Award: Roostophe Rovers, Rovers Dysonism games are usually great and this one was no different Rovers were extra stylish though and got the win. Player of the Day: Dustin Brammer, Essex Elites, 22 year olds like this defenderare the people fueling the Elites revolution. And now an interview with J7 the Blades manager! Mid Way point things obviously have not gone entirely to plan but what are your thoughts so far? The new(ish) 3-tier league system has done wonders. Instead of relegated teams obliterating sides constantly we have a mid-league of (mostly) dedicated managers that prove time and time again they're no walk-over. It has in turn strengthened the top league division, with ReZ and Ell making strong impressions in the last two seasons, showing no team can really consider themselves invincible (aside from Odwin's legendary side, of course). As for my team? I've over-evaluated some of the sides I've faced and been too scared to be on the attack. My last two seasons on top had a lot of other results go my way, but this year I'm getting no luck. What is up with your goal difference! Well obviously it's the fact that my goalkeeper is the best in the league ever, duh. Combined with my better-than-they-appear defenders, not many sides can get past to score, and my attack has been too weak for any goals... Of course, my new striker is going to help me change all that! Great Escape? Or ready for Promotion next season? Always a thought. I don't want to throw in the towel and give everyone an easy three points from now on. The position I'm in means that I don't really get much opportunity to offer my youth match experience, as each match is vital for survival- but of course, if I survive then I'll be dealing with tougher teams next year anyway, so a year in teh middle league, while not being a walkover at all, would at the least offer me more opportunity to train up my promising young'uns. Points-wise, I guess I really need to rely on my relegation contenders to lose a lot more. I'm generally confident that I can get a point from any match, but as you noticed, that's just not going to be enough to stay up. All I know is, I'm not giving up, so everyone should expect a a full-strength side. 3-0 against dyson should prove that I'm no walkover! Thats a wrap! Catch up for Championship will come tom I had parents teacher eve tonight and also have swine flu or something. I am always full of excuses I am sorry people one week it will all be on time lol. Anyone who wants an interview PM or post away! Edited September 17, 2009 by Haden
Dyson Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 I'll give you an interview at some point Haden As one of the few remaining Season 1 veterans who has yet to win the title
Ellmeister Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Won 4-2 in the xpert league today. Good start. Next game is the second leg of a cup tie against a really easy team so I'm going to put out all my youth even though it will mean my average age is around 24 now.
DuD Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I just bottled out of playing some of my youth. They left the average age of my offence at 22, and that can't be good. I think i'm gonna try and sneek them their experience one by one
Mundi Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 So I´m leading by 5 points.... Just saying.
Happenstance Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I guess that'll teach me for playing younger players two games in a row
Ellmeister Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 We're top of the leauge, you're 'aving a laff! I know I won't end top, but you veterans should be ass raping my 2 and a half season old team! *rubs it in*
jayseven Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 17 goals in teh 4 top-flight games. Tuesday's clashes are going to be interesting as there's a lot of relegation-on-relegation action, as well as moria and ell meeting up again. Made me smile Cheers Cube! I needed a good start to my day.
Charlie Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 17 goals in teh 4 top-flight games. Tuesday's clashes are going to be interesting as there's a lot of relegation-on-relegation action, as well as moria and ell meeting up again. Made me smile Cheers Cube! I needed a good start to my day. Yeah I really need to beat him. Last season I only took a point from him at home so I need to build on that. Really hate that guy!
Mr_Odwin Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Six points from the double header makes me a happy man. Bit worried about getting promoted though.
DuD Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Im happy with 4-1.. well done the youth. No changes in the bottom league, except the fact that i'm pretty sure the adorable vikings are no longer managerless. Glad that bannana skin is gone.
Haden Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) Thats more like it. However Rovers are gonna decimate me two of my best players out one literally crippled. You couldn't lose gracefully could you gaggle you had to nearly murder one of my players! lol Edited September 18, 2009 by Haden
Roostophe Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Nice 5-0 win for me over the league admin. I took a gamble and played one of my young midfielders - he played very well. Might take the gamble again.
Haden Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Nice 5-0 win for me over the league admin. I took a gamble and played one of my young midfielders - he played very well. Might take the gamble again. Play a youth team lol just take the 3 points without decimating my GD to much please lol! Lots of teams were an Embarressment! Tin Can Club 3-0 Edd Kirby Athletic Tin Can Club sought to keep up their title chase as they entertained Athletic. In the first half it was a rough affair with 3 yellow cards being handed out. However in the 2nd half Tin Can Club regained control and soon scored as Viveiros slotted in a shot range goal. Viveiros laid off a teamate to score the 2nd near the end of the 2nd half and Tin Can Club found time for a 3rd to assure the victory. As usual Athletic's defense was poor and Tin Can Club while not on top form dominated possession and chances and had a well deserved victory to gain yet another victory. Noodle FC 6-0 Party at Richters A slaughter. Richters were frankly abysmal however nothing should be taken away from Noodle FC. 5 goals before half time is quite a feat and Noodle FC managed it without a sweat. The two Noodle strikers Santana and Batistuta were on simply sublime form. They were involved in either scoring or setting up every goal Noodle FC scored. Santana scored a hatrick and Batistuta as captian had the best match of his career. Noodle FC are hinting that they could be promoted twice in a row with performances like this, could it happen? MadDog United 4-0 Made of Win United beat fellow mid league competitors Made of Win convincingly at home in this match. Star midfielder Hadley broke away from the Made of Win defense early and flicked it over the goalies flailing leg. Made of Win played 4-2-4 and their formation gave them no chances while United had more and more as they scored another before the half was over. As the half resumed Hiles the young midfielder scored his first ever goal for United. A 4th was soon added and Made of Win were sunk. United are ready to stake their place as a team that deserve to be in the promotion zone. On this performance they are more than ready. Happenstance FC 4-0 Soap Box Utd Happenstance FC kept their promotion charge alive with a decimation of Soap Box Utd. After 1 min Panic a young Happenstance striker scored his first goal of the season as he flicked one over the Utd goalie. Ronaldo then stepped up to the plate, assisting a goal then scoring two of his own. The last one being a curling free kick which was a brilliant way to mark his 8th goal for the team. Happenstance at this point seem to be favourites to be promoted. Many on this pro gramme promted them to be the league winners. Who knows? On this performance it could well be so. Analysis Most Important Result: MadDog United 4-0 Made of Win, United have proven whose the promotion hunters and who are the mid league struggler's in this match, a great win. Turned on the Style Award: Noodle FC, 5 goals before half time is really rather ridiculous. Player of the Day: Noodle FC, Ramon Santana, a great hatrick at 21 years old helps his teams goal difference keep up with the league leaders.
Dyson Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Ugh, from potential champions to relegation battlers in 3 matches..
Tales Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Didn't do much other than making sure I had 11 players playing, but I'll try change some players with new ones the next couple weeks and see what happens. I think I got too many old players. Is it beneficial to be there when the match takes place?
Dyson Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Not at all, no. Trying something a little mad for the game against j7. Beat this, biznatchie!
Haden Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Not at all, no. Trying something a little mad for the game against j7. Beat this, biznatchie! 4-2-4 time!
jayseven Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Bring it on :P I'm confident I can out-mad your sanity. P.S. I can't seem to sack anyone... Am I missing something?
Ellmeister Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 You have too few players to sack anyone?
