MoogleViper Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 He stole the manga for one thing. Perhaps she should be wondering what sort of child steals from a library. Also I doubt he can have seen anything bad enough to put him in therapy. Loads of kids found porno mags in the bushes before the age of ten. It never did us any harm. By year 7 people had porn on their phones. This woman is clearly an idiot. Also what kind of name is Barbaree?
Emasher Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I think I was 7 when someone left a playboy on the school playground. It didn't fuck me up, that came much latter.
Jonnas Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 He stole the manga for one thing. Perhaps she should be wondering what sort of child steals from a library. Now that you mentioned it... I thought he checked out the book, but the article does make it sound like he did steal it Truly, American stereotypes at their worst. Also I doubt he can have seen anything bad enough to put him in therapy. Loads of kids found porno mags in the bushes before the age of ten. It never did us any harm. By year 7 people had porn on their phones. This woman is clearly an idiot. "The Naked Suicide Girl" doesn't sound like it's just sex/nudity, though. I had thought the reason the boy was sent to therapy was because of the violence. If there is no gory/disturbing violence, though... I fully agree with you.
MoogleViper Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I highly doubt any image can be that bad. Considering the sort of things in films and even television nowadays.
Dan_Dare Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 No, well people are fucking weird. The sheer depth of conservatism about sex in parts of America is really quite strange. (but of course you can damn people to hell for it, which is OK!)
Murr Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Also what kind of name is Barbaree? I highly doubt any image can be that bad. Considering the sort of things in films and even television nowadays. If you worked at that Danish Newspaper that printed the picture of Muhammad you wouldnt be saying that
Happenstance Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 No, well people are fucking weird. The sheer depth of conservatism about sex in parts of America is really quite strange. (but of course you can damn people to hell for it, which is OK!) The thing I always find funny is a lot of Americans you talk to still think we're the ones that are all conservative about sex.
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 How old is this kid because one of mangas is for thirteen year olds? Also crazy that she has put her son in therapy. Maybe he went crazy trying to read it front to back.
Dante Posted July 15, 2010 Author Posted July 15, 2010 Killer mom won't serve jail time CALGARY — Calgary mom Aset Magomadova doesn't have to go to jail for strangling her promiscuous, 14-year-old daughter, a judge ruled Thursday. Justice Sal LoVecchio said a non-custodial punishment would be sufficient for Magomadova's killing of daughter Aminat. LoVecchio sentenced the city woman to a three-year term of probation. Crown prosecutor Mac Vomberg sought a 12-year prison term, while defence lawyer Alain Hepner argued a combination of house arrest and probation would be sufficient punishment. Magomadova was convicted by LoVecchio of manslaughter last October, after the judge ruled she wasn’t acting in self-defence when she wrapped a scarf around the neck of daughter Aminat and strangled her. Magomadova was originally charged with second-degree murder in the teen’s Feb. 26, 2007, death, but LoVecchio ruled Vomberg did not prove the intent for such a charge. The Crown has already appealed that ruling. Magomadova had claimed her daughter, who was a rebellious teen who had been in trouble with the law and had run away from home, attacked her while they argued over whether Aminat would make a court appearance that day. But LoVecchio said the evidence didn’t support the accused’s contention she had to use her scarf to defend herself from a deadly attack. Big WTF to this!
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Big headdeask to this. Really? How can people get away with so little for murder?!
