Yes, move along.

(I still say it wasn't impossible providing you were resourceful)

You mean, a personal knowledge of their B-day? Mod Powerz?

I'm curious though, what day did your 'maths' come up with the 24th? or 29th?

In all honesty, it was only hard for people who were randomly guessing. If you searched for it, there are ways to find it out. I literally counted back by subtracting and got a rough date of June the 1st (forgot the year, 91 or 90) and just searched for birthday threads around there, as I couldn't view the calender.

I guessed Caris, but he was too old. I guessed Canand, but he was too old either. In the end, I landed on Ellmeister, who was just right. :)

Shouting out randomers just ruins the game. The answer could have been found it...and it was. I got it just a few seconds before Ashley posted the new lot of clues.

How did you find the answer exactly?

As Flinky said, it wasn't impossible to find: http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=458115&postcount=18 (get a rough idea, search for 'birthday', find threads around that time, check in them, see whose too old/young and particularly with the second set of clues that was a sinch, just needed legwork)

But please, Flinky, start a new round.

How did you find the answer exactly?

Well, here's what I did (prepare yourself).

First of all, I opened a word document and I listed the years on the left hand side of the page. 2009 going back to 1989. Then what I did was I subtracted 21 days from this month, plus the number of days in months that had passed to give me the total number of days that had gone so far.

I took this number away from 6900. This gave me the exact date for either the 31st December or 1st January...meaning its nice and round when you come to take off the years and working out this person's age.

2008 was a leap year, so I made a list of all the leap years, which were 2004, 2000, 1996, 1992, 1988. 366 days for each leap year.

Every year besides the leap year features 365.

So, 6900 was my number, taking away the days we've had so far, then the 366 from last year, then the 365 (x3) for the following years, then the next leap year, then the 365 (x3) and repeat. Eventually, I ended up with the number 214, meaning that you can't take any more years away, meaning that date the person was born is in that year. So, you look at the months:

December - 31 days

November - 30

October - 31 and so forth.

You take away the number of days one at a time. So, 214- 31...then minus 30, and so forth.

In the end, I ended up with a date in June. I think I made some miscalculations along the way. But, in the end I was only about one or two days out.

Then, it was a case of matching up the birthday with the user. The problem was that I couldn't view the calender, so I had to use my initiative here. I looked in general chit chat, and backtracked to June of last year, and looked at those members who had birthday threads created for them. Caris, Canand, D_PrOd all had birthdays, so they were my guesses. Unfortunately, I had forgot about the years for some of them, so Canand and Caris were too old, meaning they weren't a perfect match. I looked around that particular date, for the first week of June to the final week of May, and eventually I found it.

6900/365= 18.904

18*365=6570

6900-6570=330

So there the member has to be 18 years and 330 as at yesterday if it weren't for the leap years. So take off 4 days for that, and they would have to be 18yrs and 326 days.

Which would put there birthday around the end of May or start of June by my reckoning.

Unless I've got it completely wrong.

That's how I did it (miscounted my leap years )

That's how you did it - Spot the difference.

I just never thought to search for birthday threads...

Aye, I did spot your post, which made me work quicker as I really wanted to get this round.

Maths is so fucking fun.

Edit: Well, the birthday threads can come in handy. Actually, backtracking through old threads can prove to be very, very useful sometimes. :)

Edit: Ok, guys. I hope this one is fairly challenging, but easy enough so that you get it soon. Gonna try to keep this game flowing.

Very close, mon freaky arab. I do like your thinking, but it wasn't the answer I was looking for. :(

Captain Falcon "FALCON KICKS" into the next round.

The next round's already begun but I'll post again as people may just look at your post and miss the question.
