Every year, I have pancakes on shrove Tuesday because every year, I forget that I don't actually like pancakes - i don't dislike them as such, I'm just completely apathetic towards them.

I can eat them, and I have done today, but after I've finished, I can't help but wonder why I bothered.

Had to Wikipedia both Shrove Tuesday and lent. Turns out I have heard about lent - but not Shrove Tuesday.

Well, now that you know about Shrove Tuesday its time to celebrate with a pancake.

My lent give up this year is..................... pancakes.

Fuck Lemon and Sugar. If I wanted crunchy stuff I'd eat gravel.

Make them yourself. Brought by the banging year 2007:

I had pancakes made from batter containing poo once.

They were crepe.

Every time I read this thread, I get a craving for pancakes. I haven't had any in a while ...

I'm thinking of having more myself this evening after a trip to the gym though.

Am I the only one who knows what EEVIL is talking about. I don't understand how you people are stating sugar isn't crunchy.

Theres no debate in it, its fact.

Tell em' gringo.

Sugar is crunchy, not all types though. The usual cane stuff is crunchy.

The sugar you put in your tea, put a spoonful in your mouth and chomp away. Sugar is used in the creation of my pancakes, so I don't need to add more, which is why I enjoy the flavoursome taste of golden syrup on mine.

Then again, here's me thinking about sugar disolving in heat, which isn't the case with pancakes. Never mind. :heh:
