Eddage Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Against most other songs I would have voted for The Curse Of Millhaven because I did like it but Love Addict is pretty much my favourite song and has some good memories attached to it. therefore Love Addict gets my vote. Sucks a bit that both my songs do far have been up against other songs I liked, Faith No More vs. Epic before this one.
Paj! Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Nick Cave, easily. Love Addict started off sounding like it might win on the fun factor, but it wasn't good enough. Sounded like a Marilyn Manson B-Side.
rokhed00 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Oh dear, I'm going to have to go with Nick Cave, much as I hate him.
Mr_Odwin Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Love Addict - Family Force 5 I don't like Cave's voice and it went on for ... like ... ever.
chairdriver Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I love lovely long songs. Vote: Nick Cave
Mr_Odwin Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I love lovely long songs. Vote: Nick Cave Me too. Lovely long songs are lovely.
Twozzok Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Love Addict for me, would have been Nick Cave but it was just too long.
Mr_Odwin Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Love Addict for me, would have been Nick Cave but it was just too long. Oh, you must be like Chairdriver and I! We love lovely long songs. Do you?
Twozzok Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Oh, you must be like Chairdriver and I! We love lovely long songs. Do you? Oh don't get me wrong, I like long songs, but they need variation. Which the Nick Cave song just didn't have.
chairdriver Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Yeah, to be fair The Curse Of Millhaven is pointlessly long. Like, it's not like a lovely Sigur Ros/Kate Bush Aerial song, where you actually love the feeling of 10 minutes.
Bren Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 love addict, id like it more without the singing i think, reminds me of the club in the crow for some reason :/
Eddage Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Just so people know Love Addict is a definite grower. Not that I'm trying to get people to change their votes.... no, of course not...
S.C.G Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Nick Cave, I didn't really like the other one.
ReZourceman Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Tricky one. I had to imagine which one I would enjoy the most drunk, as I wasn't HUGE on either sober. And I'm not getting drunk to actually do this...so erm...I imagined. Anyway, lololol. Love Addict - Family Force 5 for the proverbial win (I got this phrase elsewhere, and its probably only half applicable in this situation)
Molly Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Jeez, purely because my teeth weren't grinding by the end of it, it has to be Love Addict. The Curse of Millhaven was 7 mins of listening to the same grating voice sing in the same tone, I just couldn't cope with it.
Eenuh Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Even though it was indeed a bit long, I preferred the Nick Cave song. The other one was just meh.
The fish Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Love Addict started off sounding like it might win on the fun factor, but it wasn't good enough. Sounded like a Marilyn Manson B-Side. What he said. Nick Cave, bar it's evil start...
