The fish Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I hope more people join, 'cause as it is, Haggis, Paj, and Chair' will dominate, as they all like each other's music.
Roostophe Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I might as well: Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah Foo Fighters - Everlong And this one because I absolutely freaking, fucking love this song at this moment of time and space: Lia - Toki wo Kizamu Uta
chairdriver Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I hope more people join, 'cause as it is, Haggis, Paj, and Chair' will dominate, as they all like each other's music. Yeah, but me and Paj are actually open-minded about music. Like, I'll listen to the songs, and genuinely vote for which I prefer. I need Call It Off by Tegan and Sara to win though. Let's make that clear from the get-go.

chairdriver Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 But you do like that music. Therefore you will choose it. Who's to say you don't like it too? Have you ever listened to We Float by PJ Harvey, or Cornflake Girl? Who's to say I won't love all Rokhed's choices? I've never even heard of any of his choices. The whole point of this is to listen to stuff you wouldn't usually listen to - to broaden your musical horizons.

The whole point of this is to listen to stuff you wouldn't usually listen to - to broaden your musical horizons. I wasn't saying that. But (I'm guessing) that you have already listened to a lot of the nominations already. And you still prefer yours. And I have heard of the first one. I saw her perform live.
chairdriver Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I wasn't saying that. But (I'm guessing) that you have already listened to a lot of the nominations already. Well all the famous ones. I'm waiting for the actual competition to start before I listen to them, so I can like make a proper judgement at the time. And I have heard of the first one. I saw her perform live. I am literally really jealous, since I technically have an emotional attachment to To Bring Me Your Love.
MoogleViper Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I am literally really jealous, since I technically have an emotional attachment to To Bring Me Your Love. She was hot. She wore this sexy little white thing. Will try to find a picture. Here they are.
Paj! Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Fact is, I trust that a lot of the songs I've seen posted here will beat Circus by Britney Spears, chosen by Haggis. (no offence, Haggis, it is a genuinely fun song) And same goes for Black jacks by Girls Aloud...I relistened to that today, as I had no idea how it went. Didn't exactly impact me much. So yeah. Lets not tar a lamb and a calf with the same paintbrush.

Lets not tar a lamb and a calf with the same paintbrush. Oh yeah, none taken. No doubt they beat them hands down. But, I changed "Black Jacks" to "Call Me". Also, I've discovered that "Amnesia" is on the Japanese release, so I've changed "Circus" to that. -- Cube is right, come on people. Join!!
Twozzok Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Song - Artist Chu Chu Lovely muni muni mura - Maximum The Hormone Gobbledigook - Sigur Ros Power Supply - Anamanguchi Also, awesome idea for a threadgame thing
Ganepark32 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Song - Artist Victory Is Won - Santana Let It Die - Foo Fighters Funeral of Hearts - HIM Didn't know about this. Why wasn't I told?!?!? I would have joined sooner. I probably would have picked better songs as well but those 3 are some of my favourite songs ever, with Victory Is Won my favourite song. And if Santana doesn't win something, then something is wrong. edit: should mention for that HIM song, when you go to listen to it on Youtube, try and get the Digital Versatile Doom version. It's by far the best one.

That's make it 58, and then I could start pairing off/sorting out. Thanks to all participating.
Paj! Posted November 26, 2008 Author Posted November 26, 2008 or 1 more person puts 3 in? My god you're good. Lol yeah, that's an infinitely fairer idea!
Twozzok Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I just realised there was a typo in my post, should be Anamanaguchi. So when you youtube be warned.
EchoDesiato Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I hope I'm not too late? Polysics - Hard Rock Thunder Eagles of Death Metal - Wanna be in L.A. Devo - Girl U Want
Slaggis Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Paj, change "Circus" to "Amnesia" ( I noticed even though I amended my post, the big list hadn't been altered). Also, yay.

That's make it 58, and then I could start pairing off/sorting out. Thanks to all participating. The "extra one" was to put it from 63 to 64. 64 is a brilliant number.
