James McGeachie Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Werewolf gameplay is as thoroughly uninspired and unfitting for a Sonic game as it seemed like it'd be from the very first concept art. "Xtreme" action for no reason at all.
CoolFunkMan Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Well, I don't think the Werewolf stuff looks that bad, so there.
ShadowV7 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Looks great, could do WereSonic better instead of just going about attacking. Aside from that looks pretty good still I think.
Shino Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Well they had to ruin it in some way right? But the pros still out weight the cons.
Cube Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Well, I don't think the Werewolf stuff looks that bad, so there. Agreed. It looks like the Warewolf sections may be a mixture of fighting, slower platforming sections and puzzles. And I'm glad that they're keeping with a similar style of music. I know it's all awful, but I can't help but love it.
Flayl Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Am I the only one that doesn't like the idea of defeating badniks by just running into them?
Guest Jordan Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Sonic Unleashed trailer (new one) http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36549.html Shows Warewolf Sonic gameplay... hmmm seems kinda dodgy but god damn the music is so Sonic Adventure and the running sections look bad ass. Apparently there are alot more standard levels than warewolf ones, so thats an upside.

Dan_Dare Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Good old 'sonic boom', i have played that song a couple of times on brawl.... Out of all the 3d sonic games i consider Sonic Adventure 2 on the dreamcast the best. It still had little bugs but i thought the gameplay and the hughness of the game amazing. I was so happy when i got all the emblems and unlocked the 3d version of green hill zone! Sonic heores, shadow the hedgehog, sonic the hedgehog (360) and sonic and the secret rings have all been naff in comparsion to SA2. I would be very happy if they could just make a game like that again! that game was a piece of shit.

Guest Jordan Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Sonic Adventure 2 had some great highlights, meaning Sonic's levels. Just the glitches, holy shit. The other levels? Don't get me fucking started...

The fish Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 This look interesting, but I hope you can turn off the "runner vision", it makes it too easy, and I really, really want that demo to have had god mode activated, because the guards are the world's worst marksmen.
LegoMan1031 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 that game was a piece of shit. I loved it at the time! lol. Few of my friends have said basically the same thing as u. Dunno why i liked it so much, maybe it just seems better in my memory compared to sonic heores, shadow the hedgehog and sonic (360/ps3 version) which i have played more resontly than that. Sonic Adventure 2 had some great highlights, meaning Sonic's levels. Just the glitches, holy shit. The other levels? Don't get me fucking started... Sonic and shadow's were my favourite levels. I didn't mind knuckles/Rouge levels as they were abit diff to the norm (even if some were anoying). It was tails and eggman where it really fallen.

LegoMan1031 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Am I the only one that doesn't like the idea of defeating badniks by just running into them? U ever played sonic rush on ds? it looks the same as that, only works for periods of time when there is energy in the power bar. Of course it may not be like that at all...
ViPeR Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I don't get this game. Do you just push forward and see what happens? The music in that trailer made me puke.
Retro_Link Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Music in that trailer sounds like a Blink182 song! was alright, but no SA1 intro [live and learn?], or SA2 escape from the city! Gameplay... Sonics levels look f*cking awesome!! Were-Sonics looks SO DAMN SLOW however, I mean incredibly slow!! I thought they were going to be just like Sonics, except you swung from stuff and did other types of moves to get around, but no, they look more like the Mech. levels from SA2! Which aint good!
ShadowV7 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 SA1 is Open Your Heart, SA2 is live and Learn. I liked the music, reminded me of the SOnic Adventures. Was expecting that aswell Retro, a different style to running an dgroing through the cities. Dunno why the persist with combat.
CoolFunkMan Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Gamespot have a video demo of Unleashed right here: http://uk.gamespot.com/video/0/6194260/videoplayerpop?rgroup=e32008_live It's looking pretty awesome to me, and Weresonic's gameplay actually looks fun! There's no glitches and camera issues I can see, though the guy playing it sucks. I have high hopes for this one.
ShadowV7 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I'm still waiting for Wii footage. I don't get why the Wii version isn't there, the PS3/360 one was there wasn't it? Still looks ace though, still meh with WereSonic, but aside from that, looks great.
McPhee Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Music in that trailer sounds like a Blink182 song! It's irritating me now, i know the singer's voice i just can't think who the band is! GRRR!
Ramar Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 It's irritating me now, i know the singer's voice i just can't think who the band is! GRRR! The song is called Endless Impossibility, sung by the lead singer of Bowling for soup. [Was on the gametrailers trailer]
