dukkadukka Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 COCOROSIE - sorry for the caps, but they're the most amazing band i've ever heard, everyone should give their albums 'la maison de mon reve' and 'noah's ark' a few listens. they make a kind of pseudo-folk and electronic music, they draw a lot on their cherokee heritage. one sister has a really creepy, gypsy-child voice and the other has had operatic training. portishead on acid, if you will. i've probably just put you all off ever wanting to listen to their music hehe, they're definitely worth your time if you like challenging music, though. by the way one of them is in my avatar courtesy of athriller also listening to - DFA1979, annie, diane cluck, aretha franklin, MIA, the go! team and the pipettes
