Letty Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I'll still be underage aswell We can wander the London streets at night and hope to not get mugged.
Coolness Bears Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Don't lie Dom, itts ok that you're scared I found out this could definitely be a possibility. My friend is leaving for Canada on the 10th so we will be sticking around doing stuff with him, which means we won't be on our road trip. I get loud eventually. I'll just be hugging Coolness all the time if he turns up :p What an awesome incentive to go! If i turn up I'm going to be hugging you all the time as i'll be constantly scared the whole time! and because i love you!
DomJcg Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 walking around London at nighttime Haha, night time, nah, like 6ish at the latest :P
Dyson Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 No? It's just there was a possibility of drinking, and I guess if you're not 18 you can't go into an offy :P It really won't make any difference. EDIT: Waaait, why are we even talking about pubs and underage. I've been going to London pubs since I've been 16 (Goonmeets ftw) Goonfleet? EVE Online?
Twozzok Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Goonfleet? EVE Online? I used to be, but no.Something Awful forum meets. I didn't like the way lag pretty much controlled all our battles against BoB (well any large scale warfare tbh)
Dyson Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Yep, that's the problem with EVE. Goon > BoB though, regardless.
Guest Stefkov Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Haha, night time, nah, like 6ish at the latest :P Is after 6 when the bad people come out to play
Maiky-NiSuTe Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Tilburg is a lot safer ^.^ and the pubs stay open longer.
DomJcg Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Is after 6 when the bad people come out to play Pretty much : peace:
The Bard Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Hmm, only 2 months to go. Reckon we should start booking hostels?? If we could all get the same place it would be quite ace. Or I might just travelodge it.
nightwolf Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 haha still abit worried about getting there and trying to find you lot on my own. But I should hopefully be there.
Twozzok Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Once you're in London it's a piece of piss. Worse comes to the worse, get someone to meet you at the station you arrive in.
nightwolf Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I was hoping to, I don't mind trying to get around if I REALLY have to, but expect me to be late :P
McPhee Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 What about meeting people on the journey down? A few of us could arrange to get the same train, making things a lot easier when we get there.
The Bard Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 The train is a tad expensive. I might just get a bus, which is about 10quid for a return journey... Anyone traveling from Manchester? Might be able to get discounts if we pay together...
Guest Stefkov Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Bard you looking at virgin trains from Manchester? It was £50 ish when I went down in October, for a return. This is a hmmm for me now, not sure what's happening.
Letty Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Hmmm, its £16 cheaper if I get flights down on the 1st :s I guess I'll make a holiday of it :awesome:
The Bard Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Well, I just asked my dad about trains, and he said he should be able to get a there and back ticket for about 20, or thereabouts, which seems reasonable. Thing is, if you book it now, it's two months away, so tickets will be cheap, but closer to the date they'll get a lot more expensive... I went down to London with friends last summer, on the bus, and it was dirt cheap, the only problem was that the journey lasted 5 hours.
McPhee Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I'm going for the train, it ain't that bad considering it's faster and more comfortable than a bus. £24.20 return at the moment from Stafford, can it really be much more from Manchester?
Guest Stefkov Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I travelled via bus from Manchester to Wembley Stadium. It was the worst journey I have ever experienced. I am never taking a bus/coach ever again for long journeys.
Letty Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I travelled via bus from Manchester to Wembley Stadium. It was the worst journey I have ever experienced. I am never taking a bus/coach ever again for long journeys. Aye! I went on a school trip to spain once, and since we're all cheap - we had to take a coach from shetland to spain. 75 hours there and back. I was freaking 12!!!
Dante Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I travelled via bus from Manchester to Wembley Stadium. It was the worst journey I have ever experienced. I am never taking a bus/coach ever again for long journeys. Why did you think traveling on bus was a good idea than going on train? Aye! I went on a school trip to spain once, and since we're all cheap - we had to take a coach from shetland to spain. 75 hours there and back. I was freaking 12!!! Was it a flying coach!?
Guest Stefkov Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Why did you think traveling on bus was a good idea than going on train? I didn't. Another person suggested the idea and it was cheap. Was it a flying coach!? That's called a plane.
