From a magazine so I don't think it would be. Never know though.

Yeah i suppose...Also, it will probably be a 'April Issue' making the games release May 2009, i suppose we'll be told in April bout it's release!

Hopefully it's real..cause i'm hyped! :D

No sign of a Nintendo logo though, so no extra suits. And more importantly no additional adult IP to the Nintendo roster.
It has © 2009 Nintendo / TECMO at the bottom of the page, check this larger image:

This had better be for real!

We've been waiting way too long for this game.

The caption at the top says "they will haunt (or stalk) your Wii next month." Is that trying to say its out next month? Or is it featured in that mag next month? I'd maybe wait and see for now, never know what's an April Fools and what's not.

Next month as in the next issue i'd assume. But it'll be the May edition anyway so it shouldn't really be fake. I dunno how magazines work nowadays anyway, been that long since I used to get them :heh:

It looks like NoA have given their core gamers the middle finger.

“Nintendo holds the publishing rights to ‘Fatal Frame Wii,’ which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008. Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America – consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America.” - Tecmo rep

What in the earth was Reggie’s infamous “We are not the publisher of that title in the Americas” statement all about? It sure looks like we were being lead on. I am beyond annoyed with this news.

I hope this doesn't happen to us. What the hell is wrong with NoA? First Disaster and now this, its crazy.

Thats a Monday isn't it?

Oh.

Its when E3 starts

I'm dreading what to expect, actually. We've heard nothing of Sin and Punishment, which is the only game i'm hyped for.

If Nintendo don't deliver this year, i'll Dynamic Slash Iwata across the face and Miyamoto can take a Cosmic Walk off a cliff.

Damn, why the hell not though? I'm seriously struggling to come up with any reason as to why they wouldn't want to release it in the US, would have been nice if they'd at least give a specific reason for that decision. ::shrug:

Let's hope we still get the game in Europe. :hmm:

1. Grannies won't buy it. It'd give them a heart attack.

2. Reggie thinks it has bad sound. It fails to have any 'tinky winky' music.

3. No need to waggle the remote like you're wanking a grizzly bear. Can't be played without getting RSI.

4. It doesn't have Mario in it. He can pimp any old toot.

5. Nintendo hate good cameras. Camera Obscura is leagues ahead of DSi weak snapper.

6. It'll make Miyamoto unhappy. He'll see it as 'following the same path as the competition'.

7. Iwata doesn't care. As long as the money rolls in.

8. It can't be completed fully in 47 minutes and 53 seconds. Too long. Too hard. (thats what she said, anyway).

9. Other than Charles Martinet and some twat at Nintendo Power there's no one to provide English VO. And they're too busy with the vast amount of voice in new Zelda and Mario.

10. Waiting for Microsoft to buy the rights. A great XBLA title. You heard it hear first.

11. Nintendo truly are mental. As mad as a bag of badgers, y'know.

..I can't really understand the thought process from Nintendo most of the time.. I just pray that sense prevails and the game gets released in Europe :hmm:

Nintendo need to be careful.. there is no guarantee the 'casual' gamer will flock to Nintendo's next console (in fact, I worry what is going to happen as I doubt if it will have anywhere near the same success as Wii) and, despite their comments to the contrary, if they continue to disregard the 'hardcore' crowd then who will support them?

Having said that, I'm not one of these people who are disappointed in the Wii. I love the console and I love the games (the good ones :heh:) and there is much more I want to play on Nintendo's console than the PS3 or XBOX 360.. but I can't speak for everyone. Arrogance could be their downfall once again..

I await the 'The lack of FATAL FRAME IV is embarassing!!' thread :heh:

not sure why this is happeneing but you know know It may hit europe..

It doesn't make sense seeing as all the other titles hit europe before under the name project zero.

The thing that pisses me off here is that NOA talk about quality etc etc. Well there's more shovelware on Wii than on any other console, that's a fact.

Third parties constantly release the stuff and it leaves Wii fans often longing for decent adventure titles, then when they come up Nintendo actually make sure they're not released!

Answer: Reggie!

reggie_i_dunno.jpg

Strike 1: Earthbound/Mother 1+2/Mother 3 fiasco.

Strike 2: Nintendo's game for hardcore Nintendo fans was...Animal Crossing?

Strike 3: Disaster: Day of Crisis remains in limbo.

Strike 4: Fire Emblem DS releases in December for Europe, but not until February for NA.

Strike 5: Zelda: MM VC release in Japan and Europe in the same week, yet not in NA.

Strike 6: No Fatal Frame 4?

It seems they don't want to release games that are almost guaranteed not to sell well. Disaster and Fatal frame just don't sound like games that would sell a million copies. If fatal frame comes out in Europe though, as long as home-brew is fixed by then, it'll just be another title for me to pick up when I go to france.

I'm really confused now. It's been said it won't be coming out in the States, and now it's almost confirmed it will be released in France? Does it mean it will only be released over there, then?
