flameboy Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) Ah, my first PS3 game. Did you pull a 'Burger King' when you bought it new for £8? I'd of ran for the hills. Buying Crack in Time on friday? I don't think I will (would be week after payday if I did) perhaps wait till later when it goes platinum....will have to play Quest for Booty as well... tapedeck Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 The PS2 R&C games are far superior to the PS3 outings. Multiplayer should be a given on the PS3 versions for a start and even co-op perhaps. Still, the franchise is still great due to the likeable cast of characters.
ipaul Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Didn't you just buy an elite? I am starting to prefer the PS3 aswell, maybe because there is the beginnings of a transition between alot of my friends on Live to PSN. I like trophies too. I can only be on one or the other at Uni, and I watch alot of shows on PS3 despite getting Sky on my Xbox. Mainly because my 360 sounds like a hoover. The people I play with have headsets and the online can only get better on PSN. You should keep one for exclusives and the other for multiplatform when you know people that are playing that game online. I think you should keep both. I am. Yeah I did just buy an elite, so I'll hang onto it until christmas at least.I probably should keep it, I'm getting into a habit of selling things way too much when I should be keeping them. The only thing I can think of that I really want on 360 is the Perfect Dark rerelease. LOL! Pretty much all off my mates have an Xbox and are relectant to get a PS3. There must be some way to persuade them to buy a PS3! I'm sure when their xboxs all simultaneously break they will see the virtues of a PS3.
ipaul Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 What happened to your white 360? Well i took it to the local games shop to get it repaired an it broke again twice, so I'm now just going to sell it for spares on ebay.
ipaul Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 It has a 3 year warranty with Microsoft... I thought 1 red light was only a year? Well even if it was I had no proof of purchase as the ink on the receipt had some how managed to rub out, plus the shop had apparently made the any warranty void by messing with it in the first place.

Yeah 1 light is 1 year but u can always force 3 red lights *cough*. All Microsoft need is the serial number and they will know when u bought it although i cant help with ur last point...
Emerald Emblem Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 To be honest, Ratchet and Clank Tools of destruction could barely hold my attention. I played the first level and thought it was "meh" and with LittleBigPlanet and Need for Speed: Shift I had my attention all on them, also lack of trophy support might have factored in too.
Esequiel Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Decided to get rid of my PSP, il see what gamestation give on trade for it and my games.
dwarf Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 That video is awesome. Well made, really highlights how poor the conference was.
flameboy Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 That video is awesome. Well made, really highlights how poor the conference was. As poor as the conference was I do wonder how easy it would be to edit other platform holders conferences to appear just as bad?
ipaul Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Maybe not that difficult, but I'd be very surprised to see one as good as that.
Emasher Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Nintendo 2008 was probably on a similar level at some points. Not as funny though.
Pit-Jr Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 It really was bad. It felt like Kaz was systematically trying to destroy the Playstation brand in front of a live audience. I had the PS3 mentally blocked from then until SFIV was announced, at which point my hands were tied.
Daft Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 For a second I thought he meant Twilight Princess. I'm relieved.
killer kirby Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 For a second I thought he meant Twilight Princess. I'm relieved. indeed, A man who makes a shit game who likes a shit book makes more sense then a man who would enjoy and love great games and make great games himself
The Lillster Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Oh what a long way we've come xD I miss crazy Ken!
Daft Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 indeed, A man who makes a shit game who likes a shit book makes more sense then a man who would enjoy and love great games and make great games himself That doesn't really makes sense. A lot of people love the utter tripe that is Harry Potter yet...no wait, maybe you're right.
tapedeck Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Ok, kinda miffed. Bought the official headset and just cannot get it to work with Home You're supposed to hold R2 and talk right? I get the sound on the mic screen and every other game works fine - it's just HOME that doesn't. Does voice work only function when EVERY avatar, detail has been loaded in? I've waited for hours in some areas and still nothing. Well miffed as I love Home and got the Headset for this too.
flameboy Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 They did disable voicechat in HOME at one point due to abuse...not sure they ever reinstated it...I'm that far behind on HOME things not sure what happened with it all...
dwarf Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I thought you could only use voice by making 'calls'. Choosing the person and then calling them. Probably wrong.
