That game looks terribly generic. If you need a 3rd person fighting game there's already the decent Heavenly Sword or you can wait for God of War 3.

Its a JRPG.

Yeah but it's showing real-time action - I don't get what it wants to achieve. I think I may have seen a video of it before on IGN and the people showing it off didn't seem that impressed with it themselves.

Is anyone staying up til 2am to see the God of War 3 and Uncharted 2 trailers? I cant wait to get up tomorrow morning and watch them.

Hell no. Got work tomorrow and I can't mess up my sleep pattern anymore. Already stayed up all saturday night kicking butt at pro evo.

I'd rather get a HD feed.

Its by From Software so yes i doubt expectations are very high. Looks nice graphically though for a JRPG. The trailer had CG as well.

God of War 3 clip has just been shown on the VGA. It was about 10 seconds long and very disappointing.

Yeah I was expecting at least something epic to show but it failed to deliver.

The teaser at E3 was longer than this.

It´s kind of annoying that the interludes between awards are longer then the award giving themselves

No doubt, im quarantining myself from any more media that involves GoWIII, Uncharted 2, FFXIII and Versus. I hope the developers see the beauty in keeping a lid on these games until as late as possible

Problem is that the games do need promotion. Or they can easily get lost at times.

Sony also have a habit of having several games on the go and being released close to each other.

Other news is that LBP is ahead of gears of war 2 this week in the charts. 2nd biggest week of the year. It seems to have some staying power.

That because Sony started adverting it two weeks ago.

Well happy to see it doing well. Its definately exceeded expectations in Eruope now. I doubt anyone was even thinking it would touch Gears 2 any week ever.

Resistance 2 is also doing well. Loved it was much better than i thought it would be.

So i've just started the fourth act on MGS 4, did anyone else get that awesome deja vu feeling when playing Shadow Moses again?

Hi all,

I've very near to convincing myself to get a PS3; however, I'd just like a little advice if anyone's able to help...

I have quite a sizeable PS2 collection, and in view of this, I'd really quite like backwards-compatibility - I've been looking at some of the 60GB PS3s on eBay, which would have this, but is there any disadvantage to the 60GB over the 80GB model (aside from the 20GB smaller HDD, which doesn't matter to me)? From what I've read, the 60GB model seems better in pretty much every way, if a little more expensive.

Thanks for any advice! :)

Yeah the Shadow Moses moments were brilliant - I loved the bit when he has the flash back of the surveillance camera and it falls off the wall - so saddening yet so immensely cool.

Get the 60 GB, the 80GB only has more memory.

I only have a 40GB myself because I sold all my PS2 games.

But yeah it's a good choice and you should get it soon!

When it comes to PAL machines, the 60GB is the only one with backwards compatibility with PS2, and even that isn't 100%. Removing the functionality from more recent models was a huge fumble by Sony, but what are you going to do?

Upscaled PS2 games are supposed to look really good on a HDTV, but honestly I'd much rather play an actual PS2 on a good ol' CRT; I use a 1080p monitor, and the games I've tried don't look all that great in my opinion. I do seem to be in the minority, though, as everyone else seems to think the upscaling of old games makes them looks loads better...

As for other differences, I believe the 80GB models are more energy efficient and run slightly quieter, but they lack a built in card reader and have fewer USB ports. HDD size is a non-issue as you can buy an appropriate 320GB laptop drive for around £50 these days; Sony tell you how to change your hard-drive in the manual, so you don't have to worry about voiding any warranties.
