Aimless Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 End of March, I believe. It's been pushed back quite a few times.
Jon Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 How is DC peeps? I'm interested in purchasing of it when it is finally released but obviously won't if it's well, shit.
dwarf Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I thought you could tell from the PSN trailers that it was shit. Looks horrendous.
Jon Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I thought you could tell from the PSN trailers that it was shit.Looks horrendous. PSN trailers? I can be arsed downloading them, could have checked on youtube but I never did. I can only apologise. So here I am, Matt; I'm ever so sorry.
Daft Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 How is DC peeps? I'm interested in purchasing of it when it is finally released but obviously won't if it's well, shit. DC Universe? It's currently about 10Gb out of 15Gb downloaded.
Jon Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 DC Universe? It's currently about 10Gb out of 15Gb downloaded. I'm sure it said under your PSN that you were playing it, I was gonna send you a message about how it was but I couldn't be bothered using the dualshock to type it out.
Daft Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 It's a 200mb initial download. The program is running (and why it's showing up on the XMB) and now it's downloading the other 15Gb. So currently I'm playing the most boring game of download ever.
drahkon Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 What the hell...prices for Games in The United Kingdom are incredibly cheap in comparison to Germany. Is shopto any good? I mean, is it reliable in terms of delivery? Is there anybody here who ordered something from outside UK?
Aimless Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Is shopto any good? I mean, is it reliable in terms of delivery? Is there anybody here who ordered something from outside UK? In terms of UK delivery they're great, I've never had a single issue in over 30 orders. That's using next day Royal Mail delivery, though, so I can't speak to their overseas performance.
Jon Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I've only used them once and when the game turned up it was damaged Wasn't their fault, just bad luck.
The Lillster Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Got the YLOD again! I've lost count of how many PS3's have died on me. Are the PS3 slims more reliable?
Emasher Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Are the PS3 slims more reliable? I've never had a problem with mine, and I've never heard of anyone else having a problem with one.
The Lillster Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I'm on my third PS3. Must resist jinxing it. If that one dies, I would get a PS3 slim if I were you. I think my PS3 is out of warranty now and I can't afford a refurbished one because I'm saving for a holiday next year.
Daft Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Yeah, definitely will. It's been going strong for over a year so it should, fingers crossed, hold out a while yet.
The Lillster Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Good news! I phoned up Playstation about my broken PS3 and the guy I spoke to was kind enough to let me have another PS3 for free, even though it was out of warranty. I chose to have the 160GB model this time, so no more BC. Eventually I might trade it in for the slim.
Diageo Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 None of my consoles have ever broken. I feel special.
MadDog Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 None of my consoles have ever broken. I feel special. Same. I can't remember any of my consoles breaking anyway.
Daft Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I lolled when my 360 died. You're not a 360 owner until you've been RRODed.
Emasher Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 The only console I've had break on me was my Wii. I think the flash drive corrupted or something like that.
The Lillster Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Same. I can't remember any of my consoles breaking anyway. When I was younger my SNES broke, that was a long time ago. I've bought many consoles since and the PS3 is the worst in terms of reliability.
Daft Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) I've never had mine YLOD. The BluRay diode borked itself. I heard from people at work their was a bad batch which synced up with when I got my PS3. Free and quick replacement in the end, so wasn't too bad. Qriocity - Sony's streaming music service has gone live on European PS3s. I'm checking it out now. Edit: There's a free 30 day trial. All I'm going to say is that the UI is DAAAAAMN slick. And it has the Tron soundtrack on it, so I'm happy. Wouldn't pay for it regularly. I use Spotify - it has an app and a computer program, this is only accessible on devices. Still...it is really slick. Edited December 22, 2010 by Daft Automerged Doublepost
david.dakota Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Over Christmas I picked up Batman Arkham Asylum which I started last night. Really, really enjoying it (5 hours worth of gameplay), the realisation of the characters is spot on - The Joker especially is brilliant. And the gameplay is excellent, although initially the combat made it feel like a button masher (with the exception of the stealth element - hanging on a Grotesque (they're not gargoyles....) and dropping down to pick off goons is simply brilliant, and probably the best way to play). I also got myself Dead Space and was bought Red Dead Redemption - both of which I am looking forward to playing. Should any one wish to add me as a Friend on PS3 - or Wii for that matter - please do!
